I love this technique. Thank you! My only trouble is, as you’re looking at the spread as a clock, the 2 o’clock to 6 o’clock still tucks under about a foot when it lands. Any suggestions?

The USA is utterly stupid when it comes their channel markers. The rest of the world follow the international regulations. So when you come in from the sea it is port to port and starboard to starboard. But the Americans go with their own system! They also call themselves Captain. They are not qualified. They just have money and a boat license! They also fail to use the correct nautical terms. Using the right language matters because its precise.

The transom plate looks like it was put on a little crooked.. and no its not just the camera angle.. And yes in the camera frame the right hand side of the boat is lower.. but.. Looking at all the lines of the boat, n position of the camera, the line of the plate does not line up with the line of the U bolts (which look level to the boat) or the line of the top of the boat (they look like they are off about 1 degree), .. tells me the left side should have been down about 1/4 inch and the right side up about the same.. maybe both more.. or is this done on purpose because of prop rotation direction? To see it for yourself you can freeze the video n use your mouse to lower the picture until the top of the left ubolt is exactly at the top of the picture window and mark with a piece of paper how far down the top of the RIGHT U bolt is.. Then do the same with the top of the plate.. since the plate is a little shorter than the distance between the 2 ubolts, the difference between the height of the left side of the plate and right side should be just a LITTLE less than the difference between the tops of the U bolts,, BUT it is in fact just a little MORE. .. And.. does minimal issues like this make any difference in performance?

Pro tip: Don't watch this on a sunny dock when you can't see the damn phone. You'll think that you're an idiot until you come inside and find out that you were not following instructions.
