Abandoned and Forgotten Places

Abandoned and Forgotten Places

Abandoned and Forgotten Places is a abandoned mine exploring channel but with a unique twist!

On this channel we go deep... REALLY deep into abandoned tunnels and mines all throughout the western United States. We researched some of the harder to find mines and hike back into them to explore and reveal there hidden secrets via a cool “first person” stabilized camera view! Some of these remote locations are filled with interesting artifacts, antiques and unique geology that will have you guessing as to why the old prospectors worked so hard to find gold, silver and other minerals.

A&FP moves a bit slower than other mine exploring channels. We discuss why the miners chose these sites and we try to point out the geology and minerals that got them excited. Veins of quartz filled with gold and silver made many men loose sleep in the 1800’s and early 1900’s and modern prospecting still does to this very day.

Our channel is mean't to be an adventuresome learning experience!

Enjoy!

The velvet rope, not a fence. Small anthill, still cool, what a mine. You have to go back and check that door, before you descended deeper.

Helluva good drywashing spot..... interesting combo of minerals. Can tell it'd get interesting inside there in a gully washer rain storm. All the more reason drywashing below would be interesting. Congrats on 5 years. I think I have been watching and jaw jacking at ya most of that time now. Eventually we'll maybe so cross paths.
