My wife had planned a long weekend trip to Vegas in secret. She even got my boss at the time in on it, and got my time off approved in secret too. The night before our flight she surprised me by saying "Hey kids, who wants a sleepover at grammy's?" Shocked the hell out of me. While there we saw a flyer about The Experience and even had a coupon for a nice discount. So we thought lets go see what it looks like, and if it looks lame we can skip it. Upon entering just the casino area, i only had doubts for 0.68 seconds, and then i looked up and saw the Enterprise. My nerdgasim started then, and lasted the whole time there. We bought the admirals package and proceeded to enjoy the experience for the rest of the day. We didn't plan on staying that long, but we just didn't want to leave. We did both rides, behind the scenes, both rides again, got photos, Quarks bar, gift shop, etc. I remember while eating dinner in Quarks, the actress playing the Klingon ( she is in this video too ) came up to us and said "Why are we hiding in the back corner?" I mumbled something like with my looks they don't want me out front. She then said "A Klingon cares not for looks!" Totally in character. My wife then said "He's hiding out because he has the death sentence in 12 systems." At which point the actress laughed a big full belly laugh just like a Klingon. 😂 After we got back we planned on going again with our kids next summer, and then i found an article online saying that the Experience was closing in a month. I was crushed. The whole day spent there, and not even a hint that it was going to close down soon from any of the staff, even though they knew. Talk about professionals. They are absolutely correct about this being an experience, and to this day just thinking about this place brings a smile to my face.

My mom and i did this in 2008. WE LOVED IT! My father is a huge star trek fan and sadly he couldn't come with us on that trip. But seeing the bridge of the enterprise D gave me chills. They did an excellent job making you feel like you were really on the enterprise and in outer space. The Borg experience was amazeballs! I still have my key chain on my keys and we bought my father a bottle of romulan ale which he has in his display case.

Was at this w/ my wife in 2003 while we were in Vegas for a convention. Really enjoyed it. At one point in the Promenade, a Klingon bumped me and "got in my face" for dishonoring him (for what I have no idea). So, I got in his face, called him an SOB in Klingon (Ha'DIbaH) and told him I'd ripped his ridges off off his head and feed them to his pet targ. His eyes got wide, he laughed loudly, told me I was impressive for a human and offered me some blood wine. So much fun.
