  I’m going to be a qualified electrician within a year and plan to move to Australia permanently will you be able to help me get my qualifications recognised and I read that you need 3 years experience after the full qualification but I would of had over 6 years experience when I qualify will this count?

  Sounds very comprehensive - although I see this is from 2023, so wonder how relevant it is for Feb '24 - as they are always changing things! I have a hard-working nephew coming out for a bit of a reccie - he's 19 - on a backpack tour up the E coast then down with us for couple weeks. Certainly we want to show him the sites of Tassie but how could we show him what it might be like to work out here. He's been on a time-out working retail & doing well, he had been considering animal medicine, but now not sure he wants 7-yrs of Uni. We can show him some work situations - (like a factory & farm) any suggestions for people having relatives coming to stay trying to decide if Aus is for them - how best to help them?!

  Hi guys. Thanks for the helpful video. I'm coming over from the UK in March (2024) for a working holiday. I've got my first six nights booked at WakeUp Sydney and then a 28 day east coast tour with eastcoasttours. You mentioned about not isolating yourself and at least planning the first week. Do you think it's a good idea to book a 28 day tour to start with in terms of meeting others? It's not a tour with exactly the same people the whole time, but rather all hostel accommodation and activities booked where I would be meeting other travelers doing different activities along the way. Do you think this is a good way to meet people, or am I locking myself in to a pre planned structure? It's only because I've heard things get booked up very quickly so I didn't think it would be a good idea to not have anything planned after the first week.   For those of you from the UK, as of the 1st of July 2024 you will no longer need to complete specified regional work to extend your visa to a 2nd or 3rd year, as per the new trade deal between the two countries.
