Ya, this isn't dangerous, no big deal. I mean my guys are being knocked on their asses, surrounded and covered in flames but I'm out here giving the interview so it's no big deal.

I rec'd 2nd degree burns on my arms and scalp from a dust collector fire in June at work, it was connected to a CNC router, and yes, it was grounded but static is not the only source of fires. The entire facility- 4 buildings burned to the ground because of a Oneida dust collector which was made entirely out of PLASTIC and installed inside the building with the CNC. Ive been recovering at home now the last 8 weeks.

Dust is actually a much more serious type of fire than the fireman explains. Lookup the Imperial Sugar Explosion in Texas and you’ll see what a Real Dust Explosion will do. It boils down to the types of dust, the spread of the dust into other areas of the facility and actual total volatility of the dust.

Who is this tosser an explosion is an explosion you get caught in the blast you have big problems your protective clothing will give you some protection but dust explosions are one of the deadlyist as your not anticipating them the heat generated by them is imense plus they absorb all the air around them, and unless you are wearing breathing apperatus you will suffocate, also you will receive extreme burns to your throat and lungs and that's if you don't die from the extreme burns from the heat. For almost a minute, the crew observed the dust leaking out and igniting. It was at that point the crew officer should have pulled his crew back to a safe distance, rather than allowing them to continue working in that environment. I'm a firefighter in New Zealand, and your own life is not worth it to save a building.
