    Mine went together by hand everything fit good. I used the lock washers. You have to feed the lock washers to the bottom, or they will bind and not go all the way. The larger lock washer is bad on the company's part. the ID is too small to fit nice over the thread.

    hello..hope you'r fine...i call the tech of my yamaha DSL 11000,with Kubota engine,becausee when i search the instructions for service,on oil change,say's SAE 10W30 and i think SAE is for normal engines,but don't know whay from fabric say that,so they that they use Amsoyl full synthetic 10w30 for Diesel engines...i just don't understand why from factory say that...i buy for my first oil change the Shell Rotella 10W30 SYNTHETIC..and the oil filter K&N HP-1004....

  • @S.Masters

    Good question. I was told by the Tech at Kubota in Colorado Springs to use either Shell Rotella 15W-40 or Mobil 1300 15W-40. It's what I've used since the second oil change. When doing just an oil change it takes ABOUT 115 ounces (just under a US gallon) When doing the oil filter and oil change, it's right at about a gallon. I agree, SAE, Last I knew, was for gas engines. I did a quick search online, and this is what came up on the first page: "Yes, you can put 10W30 in a diesel engine. The oil will flow just fine and won’t cause any damage. However, your engine may not run as efficiently as it could with a thicker oil." That was from vehiclesexhaust.com/can-you-put-10w30-in-a-diesel-engine/ (literally the first result) I hope it helps. :)

    This winter has been very windy (gusts of 70mph quite often) and extremely cold in Wyoming, i havent been on the radio for a while, and thought, i should see if The swr's are still good, considering its still vertical, about a week ago, i checked the swr's and wah lah! Still, almost non existent. Definitely a good antenna. So, this year alone its suffered extreme winds, -34 degree weather, (thats not a typo, negative 34) and still, stands tall and, broadcasts and receives like new.

    I also removed the lock washers also used conductive copper anti seize on the threads then after i tightned it up, i slipped a 6" piece of double walled epoxy enfused heat shrink over the joints and used a heat gun to shrink it down. Ever notice the antenna bending slightly at those threaded joints in a heavy wind?, not no more, the heat shrink eliminated that all together.

    Hi S, this video and the other about the flue filter are great for finding parts, are you still working with your Kubota ? i just purchased the same model and wanted to know if you experienced any problems or have any tips for running and maintaining the machine over the years.

  • @S.Masters
    @S.Masters2 жыл бұрын

    Yep! 4100 hrs and going strong. Last year had to have 2 injectors replaced (about 3500 hrs) also, replaced the ridiculous fuel filter about 1800 hrs ago and havent looked back since. Bypass the little screw on (dont EVER cross thread it putting the fittings back on and dont ever get it in upside down lol yes, speaking from experience.) I put in a in-line real fuel filter with a little fuel shut off valve, soooooo much easier. Follow the maintenance schedule with oil, etc. I also us a product called T7 diesel treatment. I add 10ml (use a syringe its sooo easy to figure out for me. I got a 10ml syringe and add 10ml per 5 gallon fuel jug every time. I dont use lucas or any others just T7 (made in Oklahoma) it IS expensive but also lasts A LOOONG time) the more load u can put on the generator the better.. they love to work and work hard

    @@S.Masters I'll definitely watch out for that screw Thanks so much for sharing your experience with this generator im going to be running it on a food trailer so the hours will be adding up quickly i just wanted to be prepared as much as possible for whats to come. • @S.Masters
    @S.Masters2 жыл бұрын

    Great choice for a food trailer. Thats what its running on this end. Definitely worth the investment. Try not to under power it the closer you can get to 80% the better. Its a diesel, and just like any other diesel engine the more of a load the better they run. Vtw, i just searched for the tk7 fuel additive, it appears to gone. Kinda sucks but there are some others out there that are better than box stores brands and not as expensive as tk7 was. Anyway, glad i could help. I may post a fuel filter work around video soon.

Let me suggest 1/2 in. for the top section and 7/8 in. for the middle section, put a rag or cardboard in the Channellock plier's jaws to prevent scratching. Please I see you are in the U.S.A. and the A 99 is Mfg in the U.S.A. use SAE./ inch wrenches. Or stick with the crescent wrench. Is there a UK version?? someone way in

    Without the washers swr is harder to tune and you will have to tune it with the tuning rings and bring it down a bit as the antenna is shorter.And with time its going to weld together and you will break the antenna trying to take it apart.Happen To me.

  • @S.Masters

    What do you brushless? Its a diesel generator that's given me absolutely no troubles. Of course routine maintenance is HIGHLY recommended, I went thru 3 gas generators in less than 2 years. The price tag of 6500 MAY seem a bit high, BUT.. it's the quality, dependability and the fact that it LOVES more power? The last year and half it's MORE than paid for itself. As for your original question? Idk about any brushes, in the engine. I've taken it to Wyoming Machinery for the yearly load bank and some other routine maintenance, never heard them talk about brushes...to answer your question, I'd say no.
