Sonic is the most sauceless boring character to watch
Keep in mind: Fox's Brawl showing still resulted in a C-tier placement. Outside of Brawl, his performance has consistently been A-tier or better. Best competitive Smash fighter of all time.
Nah bro thats crazy, like, personally I could never get hit by a jv4 by one of my best matchups. Thats just me tho.
It’s a shame he gets so much hate bc he’s so fun to watch at the pro level. His setups and combos are so intricate and insane that it feels like the skill ceiling with this guy never ends, and in a game with many low skill ceiling characters I find that refreshing. My only gripe is that I personally don’t enjoy playing him, but that’s fine. Wish he wasn’t banned in so many tourneys and ppl just rose to the challenge of finding ways to beat him consistently. Ah well.

I play falco but occasionally play fox, I’m either going crazy, or I’m going to be drove crazy. There is no in between.
I think they should bring back gliding for Meta Knight, Pit, and Charizard. Steve got a glide with his up B, so it feels unfair that the OGs still don't have their glides anymore

7:07 8:23 Once, just once, is it even possible to, just for the one time, force a Smash player to come up with a normal fucking name for something? This dumb shit is why I never bothered getting good at Smash, I hear of some random garbage called the Zorbo Magumbin and it's just a slightly more fancy way of doing the Mario up air chain in Sm4sh.
Dude you need to quit bringing up that certain characters have unwinnable mu’s with dedede, cuz half the cast can get caught with the chain grab either way.

I see a lot of people in chat/comments saying that Sonic, Steve, Kazuya minmin etc are beatable characters that have even or losing MUs. And that is all true, but at the end of the day, we get to curate our playing experience, and I think it is very reasonable to remove characters who make the experience worse, even if those characters are not impossible or even unreasonable to beat. The game would very likely be better for players and viewers if Steve, Sonic, Kazuya and GnW had never been added to the game in the first place. The argument should not be “is Steve beatable, is he broken?” It should be “does this character maintain or improve the competitive and viewing experience that we are creating here in our community. We should be able to mostly agree that these characters are unhealthy for players and/or viewers and that Nintendo made the game for casuals and there decisions sometimes must be corrected to maintain competitive integrity.

I think the fact that they have been trying so hard to undertune meta knight since brawl kinda proves that if you give good physics and frame data to character with 6 jumps they’ll be always be able to do something

Idk what happened with Wildz here. I thought he was one of the whiniest players, he literally ragequit grand finals vs a Pichu a month ago. Here he gets 3-0’d by Sonic and takes it in stride, then brings out banjo and laughs while getting rolled in losers? Hopefully he stays like that

I'm of the opinion he's a really high skill ceiling character in ultimate compared to smash 4, and people just haven't taken the time to perfect their gameplay with him. Not as many smash 4 players stuck with their old mains coming into ultimate, and all the new players who's first smash game is ultimate don't know all the old secrets about how to play meta knight exceptionally. That's kinda the fun thing about ultimate. There's always so much room for new players with dedication and passion to rise up with the characters they like.
