Hello and welcome to my channel! I'm born and raised in the SF Bay Area and have been traveling as much as I could get away with for over a decade and still going! I never really intended on creating videos but every trip I have my Gopro handy and more recently a better camera and a drone, so couldn't think of any better way to share my footage. I am by no means an expert on any places I've visited but I can tell you my experience and what I thought. Hopefully you will feel some good vibes when watching my content. Thanks for visiting!

We are staying at ateliers playa mujeres, do they take you there and back?
I believe you have to take a ferry from Punta Sam which is the closest to your resort, probably around 10 minutes. But I am not so familiar with Playa Mujeres, I would recommend checking with your resort regarding transfer to Isla. Hope you have a great time!! 🌴🤙
Wonderful island and video. Which camera and drone did you use?
@danieldouble07 Definitely a wonderful island with some of the best beaches I've ever seen! I used the gopro 10 & 11, and a Sony ZV1, I have the DJI Mini 3 Pro drone. Thank you for the kind comment 🙏🤙
is it okay to fly your drone there thinking about bringing mine
Yes you should definitely bring it. There were a couple beaches on the island that were no fly zones close to the airport but you can unlock and otherwise good to go. Hope you get some great shots! 🇲🇽🤙🌴
Lagence a su país, nomas llegan a encarecer nuestros lugares turísticos de los mexicanos.
Hi Matthew! Great video. We were trying to find the link to the boart tour. We are going there this summer and it looked like a great day. Where did the boat tour pick you up and how do you reserve a spot. Thanks so much for any info you can give .
Hey thanks so much! It was an amazing day for sure! Our accommodation booked it for us last minute and lucky for us we got the last 2 spots. I do recommend booking in advance if you can, I'll put the link to the tour company below. The tour picked us up by boat from our accommodation and dropped us off by shuttle at the end of the day which was included. That's awesome you are heading to Taha'a! One of my favorite places in the world, most beautiful water, and people. Have a fantastic time! www.manawa.com/index.php/en-GB/provider/are-tours-raiatea-tahaa/5828
hey good video what abour the seaweed how to avoid them
Hey thanks so much! Usually Playa Norte is clear from seaweed, although I saw it was quite bad a few weeks ago. The locals and volunteers made a quick effort to clean it up. There is a bit more on Playa Centro but it depends on the time of year but more recently it's been hit or miss. I've been there many times and usually isn't as bad as parts of Cancun and Playa del Carmen or not much at all. Hopefully it will be clear when you go.
it’s gorgeous from the air and the beaches but corals are barely alive ?, Tahaa’s coral garden are something to see
Aitutaki was probably the second best place I've ever snorkeling second to French Polynesia (Tahaa and Maupiti. The coral was alive and thriving but different than FP. I show more snorkeling toward the end of the video, best when from a boat. It was OK in front of the resort but a bit murky due to the weather, it's usually crystal clear according to the locals. Yes you definitely have to visit, and Tahaa too definitely, both are incredible! Thank you for the comment 🤙🌴☀️🏝
The pizza look good, I wish you would’ve shown the burger.
Great video. For some reason, it's not allowing me to like your page.
We are here now and love it. If you are looking for a slow pace and a place to get the beach and walk the town, this cant be beat. We even connected with a local group to play pickleball a couple of morning. As for prices, we went to some of the best and most popular spots and found prices to be cheaper than any of the nice beach spots in the U.S….thought prices were very fair.
Hey awesome to hear that! I love it there also, i love the pace and beautiful beaches of course. Nice you were able to meet a local group. So much to do and so much great food! Have a blast on Isla and thanks for the comment. Enjoy! 🌴☀️🏝🇲🇽
I like polinesia island beautifull❤
I absolutely ❤❤❤ that you took your dog with you❣️❣️❣️ We have a Boston. She can’t take the heat, hence she stays back with my parents in Michigan 😅
She's a little traveler and a joy to bring along for sure. Even though I feel she's happiest at home lol. But we brought a little fan and she cooled off in the water a bit, and got to eat chicken when we went out, living the best life. Thank you for the comment! ⛱️ 🌴☀️
I enjoyed watching this video very much, please I want to contact you. What is your email?

Hello thanks for your comment. Being a tourist I tend to see and show the beauty of the destination. Although many places I travel, the people who live there are struggling. I got the same comment when I was in Bosnia (also beautiful country). Totally different i know when you're just passing through. Keep your head up my friend! 👊💪
Hella overpriced and overrun by tourists
Didn't think the place was over run by tourists. I went the start of slow season. But that 13% tax and gratuity on everything did make it expensive. Loved the island!
Not if you eat locally
Apologies, I thought this comment was on my Anguilla video. I do think it's expensive on Isla and some places definitely over priced. Got way more expensive over the years for sure. Yes if you eat locally you can still find cheap eats. Love it there personally but probably won't return for a while since there's so many great places to visit in the world. Thanks for the comment! 🤙
Great video.
Thanks so much! 🙏 🤙
Is there a hip hop club there?
No specific club to hip hop that I'm aware of, just depends on the DJ. But you'll hear it mixed in for sure.
Thank you
We cannot tell if there is a DJ by the bar or at th beach club because of your background music. This is a good feature to know if there is music and what kind (ex: blaring American house music, Latina Música, etc).
I hear ya. I cant play the copyrighted music. But I can tell you that each place plays a variety. All play Latin, house pop ect.. Green demon and Guru has DJs most days and Mayan has live music on occasion but never seen a DJ. I'm sure you'll find something you like at each one, great vibes all around! 🤙
I've called Asia home for many years now, but I'm originally from the Caribbean island of Saint Lucia 🇱🇨 born, bred, and raised. As an islander myself, I can appreciate the breathtaking beauty of Huahine, a place I only just learned about two days ago! This place is definitely on my travel list! Much of it reminds me of my native Caribbean.
Hey there thanks for the comment! Huahine was spectacular and I already want to go back and stay longer. Breathtaking and a true island paradise for sure! Hope you get to visit soon! 🌴☀️🤙
We’ll be there in 3 days. Thank you for your post.
My pleasure! Have a blast on your trip! Thanks for the comment 🙏🤙🌴☀️
Hey man, great video thanks! I would really appreciate it if you would have time to answer a few questions I have. Going for a honeymoon next year! 1. Which was your favourite place to stay? Do the areas in Aitutaki differ much? 2. What would you recommend as a schedule for 10 days in Cook Islands? Is 3-5 nights in Aitutaki too much? Is a week on Rarotonga too much? 3. What would you say a good budget for Cook Islands in general would be for 10 days? If not the absolute luxurious options but something a bit more ’nice’ for the honeymoon?
Hey there, congratulations on your wedding! Cook Islands would be an amazing place for a honeymoon for sure! My personal favorite place we stayed was Tamanu Beach Resort although I would also recommend staying at the Private Island Resort Aitutaki if you don't mind staying in a couple different accommodations. If your budget allows I'd recommend the Pacific Resort where we spent much of our time. We were lucky enough to stay 1 week on Aitutaki and thought it was plenty of time although you can get away with 5 days or so. And 7 days in Raro. We came from the US and flew Hawaiian and they only had flights once per week. 1 week would be too short in my opinion but doable. Prices overall were pretty reasonable coming from the US. I'd say the budget would depend on your accommodation choices, tours, restaurants and drink choices but overall not bad. 7 days in Raro was great as well since there was so much to see. Anyway hope this helps. Sorry for the delayed response we are in the Caribbean currently. Thanks for the comment and hope you have a fantastic honeymoon in the Cook Islands 🤙🌴☀️
Why should I trust somebody who has nothing but praise? I travel the world all the time, and I see lots of problems.
It's up to you who you trust and how you view the world but for me nothing but praise for the island of Aitutaki. A lot of problems in the world for sure though, I just choose not to focus on them. Thanks for the comment!
Nice video! Thanks for including the restaurants you visited. I'll be there for the first time next week, so your video helped. 🙌
Hey thanks so much! So glad the video helped out a bit. So much great food and good vibes! Have a great time on your trip, that's exciting! 🤙🇲🇽🙌

Great info on Isla! We go for the first time in June. Any chance you have an email for Na Balam? We booked there through a travel site but I would like an email confirmation through Na Balam.
Great video! We are going back tomorrow for the third time, cannot wait.
Hey thanks so much! 🙏 Awesome to hear that, Isla is a place I always love going back to. Thanks for the comment. Have a wonderful trip! 🌴🇲🇽☀️🤙
@Kellenrobson Where do You stay?
Great job on this video. Thanks for the upload. We will be there again shortly.
Hey thanks so much! It's funny I'm actually heading to the Caribbean next, following in your footsteps lol (well different islands). Have a great time on Isla looking forward to your videos! I appreciate the comment ☀️🌴🇲🇽🤙
All of us cut ourselves when we were at the coral garden. We were trying to fight the current while avoiding the corals. We found the pathway but went in wrong direction. We should have walk to the beach and swim back to the lagoon, not the other way around.
I started from the opposite end and was fighting the current mostly, I can imagine I missed a lot of beautiful coral closer to the reef. But sorry to hear that, we can only fight the current so much. Hope you were still able to take in the beauty. Thank you for the comment!
De noche y de dia Arriba la puteria
Excellent video, thank you for being so thorough
Hey there thanks so much! 🙏🌴☀️🇲🇽🤙
Loved the video the info and the food!! Added to the list lol. Just as a suggestion some prices would be awesome as well. Just get a good Idea if the restaurant or place is budget friendly or not. Thanks 🎉😊
Hey there thanks so much! Glad my video was able to help you with some good dining options, there are so many. I thought about adding prices but we paid cash for most things and couldn't remember them all. Let's just say that most places were mid range $$ but if you like to drink cocktails it adds quite a bit more depending on where you go. I am working on another video now and will add the prices. I appreciate the comment and the feedback! Have a blast on your trip 🇲🇽🌴☀️🤙
Thank's for the very great video!

I meet many Canadians in pvr! More Canadians than Americans.bridge across the street is a difficult walk.hot and humid. Going in may! Was there jan and March! March is more humid.cant get to Europe as a stand by..retired airline..so Mexico!
Not a bad alternative! Enjoy Mexico! 🇲🇽🌴☀️
The hotel you stayed in brings back memories from the 80’s it was one of the first gay hotels in Puerto Vallarta. Of course it was under a different name and ownership at that time and no longer exclusively caters to the gay clientele . But honestly hasn’t really changed that much. Thanks for bringing back some memories.
My pleasure! Glad it brought back some good memories! I found this hotel online and glad I booked. I really enjoyed the location, view and good vibes! Thank you for the comment! 🤙
Im booked for 10 days on the island. Im wondering if thats to long
Hi there, how exciting! We just spent 9 and thought it was a bit long even though we love it there. However if you split it up by staying somewhere near Playa Norte and a hotel near the south side of the island it might be a nice change of pace. Also if you are willing to rent a golf cart for at least a few days it is a great way to see and do more. Really can't go wrong, there is plenty to see and do on Isla Mujeres and a great place to unwind and relax. And so much great food! Otherwise another great island is Isla Holbox, we went there also and really enjoyed it. Hope this helps. Have a great time whatever you decide to do! 🤙
Do you think this guy likes Tacos?
Haha yes! When in Mexico 🇲🇽 🌮 😋
Nice video - do you have to pack your own beach towels or are they provided by beach club or hotels? Don’t want to pack bulky items - any suggestions?
Most hotels will provide you with beach towels. No need to pack. Enjoy your trip!
Thx for video …What months would you recommend it Isla Mujera (any to avoid) and how many nights would you recommend? Trying to avoid high prices & crowds but also don’t want i❤ to be dead… which area of the island to stay for 50 year old firstimers?
Hey absolutely! Well I just got back from Isla a couple weeks ago and I can say that if you are trying to avoid crowds I would avoid March/ early April. I've been in the August and it was much more quiet but some rain here and there and early Feb last year and it wasn't as crowded. As for prices, it's crazy how expensive everything got, especially with the dollar to peso. But you can find some cheaper eats depending on your taste. As for where to stay I'd recommend staying near the downtown, as you can walk to many great restaurants and beautiful playa Norte. Otherwise we stayed at Casa De Los Suenos on the other side and enjoyed it. I'd recommend having a gold cart. So maybe split the trip if you'd like. I'd say 4 days would be plenty. Hopefully this helps!
Last trip we stayed at Nabalam and thought it was great as a great breakfast was included and it gave us beach club access.
@@matthewkingtravels Great Info- thanks … We are going early December and we have 5 days to use. Thinking maybe 4 days in Isla Mujeres and then maybe a day in Cancun to maybe going to XCaret (if it is worth it)? Or maybe just stay the 5th day in Isla Mujeres? Not sure what’s easiest? Have never been to Mexico before. Thanks for any advice 😊
@carpediem4413 I've heard great things about Xcaret although another day in Isla couldn't hurt either. That's exciting, you are going to love Mexico! Have a great time! Thanks again for reaching out!
Hello Matthew, great videos. can u maybe tell me, which island did you liked the most in french polynesia?
Hey thank you so much! We'll I can definitely say Bora Bora lived up to its hype. But we really enjoyed Tahaa, the tour we took was incredible and the coral garden was spectacular. I do wish we spent a bit more time in Huahine. All of them we visited were great honestly I'd recommend getting an island hopper pass with Tahiti Air and checking out a few. Hope that helps!
@@matthewkingtravels thank you very much. If u don‘t have many time and u should choose just one island except bora bora, which one would u choose?
@jakeline5759 Probably the toughest question ever lol. Out of the island's I've been to I might consider Maupiti, I thought the water was most beautiful and the slowest of them all. Otherwise I would look into Moorea as an alternative to Bora Bora, I heard great things. That's where I would go next. Sorry not a clear answer but you really can't go wrong with either. Hope it helps a bit. Thanks again for the comment!
@@matthewkingtravels thank you very much
Great vid if all you want to do is eat tacos each meal, drink margs, and hang out in only the touristy spots.
Thank you lol. That's pretty much all I wanted to do for the 2 days I was there. But yes for sure so many other great places to see in the area (and bites to eat). I'll be back there soon! Thanks for the comment 🤙
