Same thing happen to me sorta: some guy in a van ran a Stop sign and then I had to slam on my brakes. They stopped me then the brakes continued to the floor and I was still slightly moving. Scary stuff. Got out and looked and rear right leakage coming out strong. Can't wait to watch your vid for help!

I forgot to ask you before but, did you ever drill put the bolt in the extra hole in the diff bracket or did you end up welding it in? Seems its not in when you put it all back together.

I bought this kit and installed it myself thanks to your video a year ago and has been running great since then. Would have been 10x more difficult if you hadn't documented. Thanks so much for doing so. But also agree probably wouldn't recommend doing it alone if yourself if you can afford to have someone else do it.

Not sure your plastic ties will last very long, usually you need black ties that are uv rated, they also handle the heat better.

So, I installed this kit on a 2002 Suburban 1500 Z71. I had to modify the top Differential bracket so that it sat flush, modified the crossmember by drilling out two holes for the up and down bolts since they do not line up, and was not able to install the differential skid plate since it was too short. Just FYI, for anyone trying to do this on a 1500 frame.

Thanks for the Video, Why did you remove the torsion Keys? Do you think you could have done the job without removing them? Jacking the truck off the ground releases the tension off the keys and bar. If the lower control arm isn’t articulated there really doesnt seem to be a reason to remove them. Im in NH. WD40 isn’t enough! lol i’ll need to red hot them then bang ‘‘em out. A game i’m not interested in playing.

I think it comes with new keys I’m can’t quite remember and you have to move the lower control arm quite a bit. Getting the torsion bars out of the way helps too if I remember correctly.

Thanks man! I just dropped this kit in my 8.1 . I attached the bracket to the diff (lower bolt) then the top two bolts, passenger, and finally the lower control arm. I didn't have any help so this was the best way to do it solo. I tried for about an hour to drop the diff in over the bracket......not going to happen. Either way thanks for posting this . It really helped out when I was dropping this kit in.

Beautiful truck, man. Great job on your video and appreciate you posting this. I have been going back and forth between the Zone 3" or 6" for our trucks. I read your comment where you said now you want more. I think I might feel the same, so may as well go bigger now. Price difference is only about $350. These lift kits indicate not for Duallys, but just in case anyone is wondering, I have been in contact with a guy over at Lift Kits For Less, and one just needs to tell them it is for a Dually and they will make sure you get the correct u-bolts for the rear. That is the only difference. Everything up front is the same.

ZimZam78 hmmm to be honest the part in the video where I put the front diff back in and it won’t go in because the new bracket is in the way. I would have made sure before putting the diff back up to check and see if the new bracket fits and take it back off then put the diff up followed by the bracket. I know the directions don’t say to do it that way but it worked a lot better that way for me.

ZimZam78 Amazon lol they were the cheapies but they work. I would recommend putting a sealant around them first so they don’t collect moisture inside since they are cheaper. That’s what I did
