Tennessee Yankee

Tennessee Yankee

Welcome to my Channel. I call myself the Tennessee Yankee cause I was born, raised, and spent most of my life in Michigan before moving to TN. I moved south to be closer to warm weather, warm lakes, a long summer, mild winter, and an abundance of outdoor recreational opportunities in the mountains.......of course no state income tax and great cost of living help too :) My channel is a mix Tennessee Living, How To's, and Reviews. Occasionally I will post links in my video descriptions to help direct you to tools or parts I used in my video. Clicking on these links will help you get to the product faster, as well as help to support my channel. Hope you enjoy, consider subscribing, and thanks for watching, Jeff a.k.a. Tennessee Yankee

    @@TNYankee2020 is yheu the 15-19 or 15-17 or whatever size rear? There are two rear tire sizes. On the new LX3520 and 4020 you can actually run a mid mower with the bigger rear tires. On the previous iteration only the smaller rears would work with mid mowers and that's why most dealers stock the smaller ones I think 🤔

    Howdy Tennessee Yankee. Frank sure likes to swim, it was fun to watch him motor in the water. The fetch stick is great. Did the wraps and booties work in the pool? I am sure that my dog would love the fetch stick. Being a black lab she loves to swim, she goes underwater to retrieve things. Thanks for sharing!

    Hey there Paul, the booties were a major fail for his feet. Even with the wraps he would still get them off which is funny because they work perfect on my nephew dog who's much larger without wraps. The stick is a hit though. We still let him swim in the pool but we ended up fending him away from the edges with the leaf net LOL.

Hope you've had good luck since in using it effectively.

    Real nice! I have a 94 I bought new and with almost 3k on the meter is still my weekly mower and leaf collector on 3 acres. I have the blade for it but only for light grading now. I've always been meticulous about maintenance and only had one major issue with the plastic timing gear. Pretty much down to wear items and the occasional leak. Mower deck is definitely a challenge to keep up with so many hours. 3rd gear box but still original spindles. The new 700s are ok but I'll stick with the 445 forever!

    @@TNYankee2020 thank you, mine is the Yanmar diesel though, so no spark plugs. Wondering if there is a switch or something. It seems like it's not getting fuel, usually I'll see some slight vapor out of the exhaust when cranking, but there is none now. It was odd because it was mowing prefectly with no hesitation, no power loss, I stopped for a couple minutes, now it's dead in the water. I also noticed that when I turn the key, the fuel pump runs and stays running. I'm pretty sure it cut off after a few seconds before. I should also note that the fuel shutoff solenoid works well, pulls in quickly all the way when the key is engaged.

  • @TNYankee2020
    @TNYankee2020Ай бұрын

    When you say main seal, are you referring to the seal around the rear PTO that the mower shaft hooks into? If so, that had developed a leak several years ago before I was wrenching on anything and I took it to the dealer to replace. It probably wouldn't be a huge deal. I just wasn't at all mechanical at the time. I think it's probably a common problem at some point on these.
