  @@j.m.youngquist419 It is weird I admit. FM 116 which runs in front of Ace Hardware is one of the main streets in Copperas Cove's downtown area. This isn't a large town, we are about 38,000 or so. It isn't unusual to see the same vehicles every day in the same area about the same time. I love small-town life after living in Austin for 40 years!

  Usually, the empties are headed West, not East. I thought that was strange also. I kept looking for the DPU in the middle or at the end!

  You used to get some really good meets there back in the day before they pulled the siding out. Of course, it pissed off the locals because all of the crossing would be blocked for a long time. There was no siding in Kempner back then.

  It is really a great place to railfan. Since last summer, BNSF has been running a lot of trains through Copperas Cove at night, starting about 9pm. There are no lights downtown to help the video, so I catch what I can during the day.

  Lometa used to be a busy place on the Lampasas sub. The depot there lasted longer than most of the others.

  Intermodals are usually EB in the BNSF Lampasas Subdivision. This is the first WB Intermodal I have seen in 2 years!
