Did you have any group carrying your packs on the plane? We check our tent and trekking poles because we have heard they aren’t always allowed. And our bags we didn’t think they would allow on cause they are so big

We didn’t have any problem only doing carry on. We bought tent stakes and trekking poles in Chamonix when we got there.

What is the angle of the roof line ? Were you at all worried about moisture collecting and running down the barriers behind the siding? Is the gap in the flooring enough for intake ventilation ?

I find an easier conversion is to not remove the rear seats. Simply fold down the 60 side of the split. Push the front seat forward & insert a 20x 30 inch plywood section with verticals..This creats around 6 feet of headroom. Add your sleeping fpam pad pillow & sleeping bag & youre good to go!

My Crosstrek came with Geolandar G91s. Not bad traction-wise, but noisy as a coin laundry. The most ambtious off-road I do is a gravel driveway, so when they wear out I'm looking toward Michelin CrossClimate 2. I've head they might have more rolling resistance, but I've been driving Michelins for more than fifty years and they wear like iron and have the traction of an abalone at low tide. And quiet..

Any advice on removing the rear seats? Did you need to install any seatbelt, or airbag, override clips to keep the computer control from going crazy?

Hi! thanks for the informative video, really enjoyed it. I would greatly appreciate your help... I suppose to land in Geneva on July 2 at 9:40 am I wanted to know if you think I will be able to get to Les Contamines Montjoie (14km +/-) on the same day or is it better for me to wait the day in Chamonix and start the trek the day after?
@ChaseChristopher116 күн бұрын
You’re very welcome! Possible? Absolutely. I don’t think you’d regret spending a day in Chamonix seeing the town and getting a fresh start the next day, though. Have fun either way!

My outbacks in Alaska needed the studded tires for the amount of ice in the street all summer long but in Colorado it melts during the day and you’re driving around on slush. So you need studless.

Absolutely we can. We have a 2016 Outback and my wife and I have taken it to 35 states and two Canadian provinces, camping all over the place. We can even add in two small dogs, but that does get a bit tight sometimes.

Rather late to the video but you really summed up the reason alot of us chose a Subaru. I drive a 2017 Forester and I can't bring myself to drive anything else. I know it'll keep me safe and take me great places. It's a feeling no other vehicle could give me.
