That’s great! I’ll definitely give Lingopie a try. One platform I’ve been using lately is Immersive Translate. I found it to be a great way to generate subtitles to all my shows and movies on Netflix, and I’ve been using it every day.

The Voseo comes from old spanish. Like most of the verbs. Tenés Tenéis, Venís Venís, Querés Queréis, Sabés Sabéis, etc. Vos also from old spanish. That's where Vosotros comes from. "Vos sois"

I agree with him and many people also agree, Argentina “ Spanish “ is like if an Italian more from Napoli were to speak Spanish with Italian words put into it that’s what it sounds like to my ear. The intonation is super similar to the Italian intonation

almendra is NOT from Arabic. Common misconception. Not all Spanish words starting with al- are from Arabic. alto, alzar, altar, alternar, alabar, alargar, alegrar, alarma, aliviar, alejar, alojar… these are all not from Arabic.

In Spain, only Spanish exists as an official language and it has always been that way, the others are dialects invented to create conflict and divide the country, just like they are doing in Chile, which suddenly the press and politicians started saying that it is a nation of nations!😂 politic lies. Those of you who repeat them do a lot of damage. For your information, Castillian does not exist. Castilian is the linguistic metasystem from which the Spanish language originated and became extinct more than three centuries ago. Calling Spanish "Castilian" is a serious linguistic lie. You are paid for repeat propaganda against Spain

I see comments here that are so rude. As an Argentinian, I feel ashamed. My ex- husband, who does not speak Spanish but English always told me that Argentinian Spanish sounded like Italian to him. I worked for an American company in Argentina and some of the people there told me the same. Regarding the sh phoneme has got different pronunciations, porteños over pronounced it, while in my province (Entre Rios) we don't pronunce it that strong. Thank you for your video.

I did the free trial and I found the availability of series and movies on Netflix compatible with Lingopie is SEVERELY limited. NONE of the top ten Netflix shows I watch for language learning were available. I guess they have to obtain their own license from the studios. The software is pretty but because of this limitation it is nowhere near as good as other language learning extensions.

A mí también me encanta enseñar y aprender español a través de canciones. Una pregunta, cuando menciona la canción Vivir mi vida la letra es "voy a reír" y no se usa el pronombre reflexivo. Me confundí un poco a ver este ejemplo en tu video. Aparte de eso todo es genial, ¡gracias!

Hi! Just letting you know you did make a mistake when talking about the cases. The dative case of der Tisch is not "den Tisch" rather it is "dem Tisch". The sentence "ich lege die Blumen auf den Tisch" uses the accusative because there is movement occurring. You could say "Die Blumen liegen auf dem Tisch" (the flowers are on the table) and that time the dative case is used because the flowers are stationary on the table.

Also, your pronunciation was really good! Except one thing was very obvious, your pronunciation of the ich-laut and ach-laut. Most times when there was a /ç/ as in ich or /x/ sound as in Sprache you pronounced as a /k/. This isn’t so bad in terms of understandability, but it is very noticeable. I would focus on these sounds. (For example when you said Hochdeutsch, that was the /x/ sound done correct, and when you said ich before ich spiele that was the /ç/ sound done correct. ) Other minor things include pronouncing v as v during your first pronounciation of Nahrungsmittelverträglich which I’m sure was just a mistake and äu as au rather an eu in the first tounge twister

Correction: Actually, we do have FOUR additional letters: Ää, Öö, Üü and ẞß - but not everyone - austrians don't use it at all - consider the ẞß as part of the alphabet. Also, because not a single german word begins with an ẞ, its existence in officially useable form as a majuscle letter - as of 29th of June 2017 - is questioned and critizised. (Some germans don't know to this day, that the letter ß has a capital counterpart now - since six years)
