i find Kakashi more of tragic character. Yes I do like his humour but what draws me to him is his backgroud and the tragedy of his life.

That's a good point actually. I think I was focused more on Kakashi's character in the first few arcs where he comes across as more eccentric, but his character grew a lot in complexity through the story. I don't usually recommend Murakami's books because I don't like the way he writes about women, but I wonder if you'd like Norwegian Wood. The plot and some of the character dynamics remind me a lot of Kakashi's backstory. I also thought about How Not to Die Alone by Richard Roper, which is a bit more on the dark-humour, tragic-but-still-funny side :)

Kishimoto is indeed pretty terrible with writing female characters. Sakura, Hinata, Temari, and even Tsunade were so often underutilized. And yet, in spite of that, he still felt compelled to do the worst plot twist of all time at the end, involving a....certain female character...

I know right? Even poor Konan who seemed like she would be so badass had to go and get killed in the briefest fight ever, and of course, the last plot twist 😫 I always wanted a female Naruto villain and then when we finally got one, it had to be worst Naruto plotline ever ☠️

Funny, because I started watching Naruto at 12, and my life was somehow altered :P But now I'm tempted to call for a sequel, because I'm intensely curious about what kind of stuff Madara, Obito, and Orochimaru would read 😂😂😂

Hahaha I swear Orochimaru would be reading obscure medical textbooks and hyped-up romance novels (and nothing in between). Obito is reading the most doomed/tragic love stories and listening to men's right podcasts, and Madara is constantly rereading the Art of War =)))

Honestly, it was so much fun! I thought it would be much scarier, and tbh the moment they open the plane door and ask you to drop your legs out is very scary but as soon as you jump, it genuinely feels like flying. I'd tried bungee jumping before and that was actually scarier!
