What if your cat likes to scratch a lot then he or her scratches the plane seats

All pets must remain in their carriers throughout the duration of the flight so that should keep them from scratching the seats.

Hygge also calls for dampend sound, not sounds bouncing around in bare rooms. This can be achieved by rugs, curtains and books on shelves

I haven't seen one person mention taking a STICKY ROLLER!!! I even take one to vet appts...she loves it while we w a I t..and my cat will ride at least 12hrs in her carrier w/o eating or Drinking & only uses the litter box when we get to the hotel ASAP (She's too pissed or stressed to eat while traveling) Flying should be a breeze, fingers crossed

Our Simba is a disaster. Even a short car ride freaks him out, he would meow the whole trip. He would hide under the bed or somewhere he knows is safe whenever he sees the cat carrier. We'll be moving to to Asia for good from Italy soon. My husband and I are already worried what's gonna happen and how are we gonna handle him. Instead of taking him out of the carrier, is it possible to just pass him through to the x-ray machine?

I’m planning on traveling from Osaka, Japan 🇯🇵 to Vancouver, Canada 🇨🇦 with my 4 cats! I’ll be getting some help from my sister, niece and her boyfriend. So 1 adult/cat. It will be a very, very long trip. At least a 4-hour drive to Osaka, then about a 10-hour flight. Upon arrival in Vancouver, I’ll have a 12-hour drive on my own with the 4 cats. I’ll admit, I’m not looking forward to the trip with the cats. I just hope they actually survive it and no one claws me and bolts. One of my cats hates the vet so much, I don’t dare take him anymore since the last time, he climbed the walls and really scratched the vet. I’ll be asking for a private room when we go through security. It will be their very first time traveling on a plane. I always take them to the vet on my bicycle by putting their carrier in my bike basket. It’s only a 10-minute bike ride. Hope our trip goes well.

@@boubou2413 Hello, Thank you for sharing your plan to travel with your cats. I’m still in southern Japan. So, haven’t travelled yet. My plans changed when I figured out the only area in Canada I can now afford financially is far north in a subarctic climate! I’ve been considering closer options to relocate in SE Asia. The flight will be much shorter. Wow, you are going all the way to UAE - that’s a very long flight! Are you a healthcare professional? First time there? I hear the culture is very strict. Hopefully the financial pay off is worth it. Good luck!

@Northern-BC-Life hi again !! I appreciate your message ! I really hope you can find a place you like and that is affordable! I was actually living in Dubai before coming to Canada so I'm just going back. I spent 7 years there already and I loved it. My only worry is the kitties and they're probably going as cargo because I have 2 and can only take 1 per person in the cabin 🥲 the agent I selected to help with the relocation assured me that they do this all the time and the kitties will be fine so we will see. I'm travelling end of January or early Feb so I will post an update if it can be helpful for anyone 😊

@@boubou2413 Hello again! Interesting you’re returning to UAE after returning to Canada for a period of time. I’m curious, how many years were you back in Canada? I’m a healthcare professional, so that’s why I was asking if you might also be one. May I ask, what made you love UAE so much? I’ve never heard much about it. As far as your cats 🐈, if it makes you feel any better, I have heard in some cases animals can be more comfortable in the cargo area. I did hear flying in the cabin is less stressful for US, since we can keep a very close eye on our cats. Although in some cases I heard the cargo area can be more relaxing for animals since after take off, it is dark and quieter. I’m not sure if this is true or not. Other people recommend the cabin if you don’t have more than 1 cat/adult. So, your cats have flown before when you returned to Canada? Or this is their first flight? Wondering about your first experience.

I have to say this.... The word "Intentional" is often harnessed to "Minimalism" and "Simple" and "Slow" living... but the word "Intentional" implies "Conscious", "Mindful", "Thoughtful", "Purposeful", "With a Mission", "Directional"....the Dictionary doesn't tie it to Minimal or Slow or Simple. I can be VERY intentional in a fast paced lifestyle...or a slow one. I can have plans, make conscious (intentional) decisions about my daily life...and I can be highly intentional about my business and what I'm doing to create growth. STOP LINKING EVERYTHING TO "MINIMALISM" AND "SLOW" LIVING...NOT ALL OF US ARE FOND OF 'RELAXING" ALL THE TIME.

Oh my gosh I’m so glad I’m watching this prior to my trip. I’m flying with my 6 month old kitten for the first time on a 3 hour non stop flight with southwest in two weeks. He’s been great on multiple road trips so far and is fond of his carrier, some times even chooses it as his nap spot. I had no idea I would have to hold him in the open during security and boy does it make me nervous! He’s an expert of getting out of his harness and while he’s very good with people, Im afraid this environment might be too much, plus he has his claws of course and I don’t want to be scratched up if he freaks. Luckily our flight is late at night (take off 9:50pm) so maybe security won’t be so busy, but im definitely going to look into the private screening like another comment suggested! I can’t imagine how stressful and awful it would be if he bolted in the middle of an airport.
