Well said
Chris, what is you opinion on rewards cards, where you earn points which can be redeemed for either cashback, miles or even vouchers etc.? IMO, seems like that is really a one-size-fits-all, jack of all trades solution, since you have the flexibility to choose whichever depending on your needs and wants. I won't deny the earn rate may be poorer conpared to specialised cashback/miles card, but if you're willing to trade that for flexibility, I think it might be worht considering.
wise words

as a former ocbc 360 customer , I won’t recommend it. The save category doesn’t mean every 1st of the month save $500. It means u need to check via the web portal if u meet the criteria not available on the app. U need to top up slightly more even up to $600 to meet the save category and this is repeated every month. Uob one I feel is super easy with just spend $500 end of last week of month. Use a one card strategy. With 150k balance .
Hello! Can I do a lump sum $10k and OCBC will recognise it as $500 incremental for 20 months? If not the salary credit can be recognised as $500 incremental? Thank you.
Kindly share your krisflyer membership number, I am signing up. It is asking the same.

hi chris i went to find out more on how to sign up for the uob nation saver promotion after watching ur video and realised that the 150k must be fresh fund. 😅.
Correct
If you hit 100k in ocbc already, still need to increment $500 per month after that to get the bonus? Then that extra over 100k is kinda wasted right, just to hit the increment criteria?
Correct
Don't forget you will have to consider opportunity costs from resetting ocbc 360 account when hitting $100k. It is not 4.65% flat all the way
Correct
OCBC 360
thanks for sharing Chris
The comparison is not accurate, if u take away the incremental 500 monthly, the clear winner is UOB one. UOB one needs 2 conditions and OCBC needs 3.
You just gave me a new video idea
Yes it's hard to keep track average balance. Once we are busy not hitting, it's much lower interest for ocbc
Just do something that will earn you money while you sleep, no matter how little. A pandemic is the perfect way to open your eyes to really see what life could be like without your usual income stream, when everyone had to stay home. Well I didn’t really get affected because I invested in a trading company where I earn 4 digits per week Thanks to my FA. The best thing you can do for yourself is invest more and spend less.
hi chris thanks for sharing but i think abit confusing. at first u say u r self employed. then u say u pay urself a salary and no longer considered self employed. but company still under ur name what. u mean u dun need to pay corporate tax for the income of the company?
2022 was self employed. 2023 onwards is full time employee. Corporate tax is one whole separate matter Edit: spelling
@@HoneyMoneySG thanks for clarification Chris.
The $150k for the nation of savers needs to be fresh funds, right ?
Yes

Salary credit for ocbc can use paynow or fast payment? I don't think so...

Can you give you opinion on the pair of Amaze+ Citi Rewards vs. Amaze + Citi Cash Back?
Fake news! Amaze can be used on Apple pay
I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.
