Females get the red belly males dont...I used to breed them...very aggressive fish while breeding...my male tried to kill my female after every time

I was told the females have that black dot on their gill plate. So, pretty sure this is a female. Did you ever find out for sure?

What if I have done the treatment twice, increased the heat, added salt. Did water changes, tested water, bought new heater and their still shaking and flashing. Worse even.

Not Vaseline guys! use white plumbers tape couple of wraps, seal back on job sorted.

Very nice but this is not a fusco. It's a hybrid. The head of true fusco is more like Tyrannochromis head.

I got one of those and started leaking in the process of trying to fix it one of the brass prongs looking things where the light goes popped out. Im think of throwing it out if it cant be fix.

I believe you're referring to the Tyrannochromis nigriventer. Is piscivorous and a great ambush predator. Can reach up to a foot in length. However its my experience that they are not as mean as the fusco.

Did you buy one of those two that were for sale? yes that was the fuel cell in the trunk of the GTO, usually less gallons than original for less weight plus its plastic so no rust. In many cases they have sponge inside to help gas movement.

Believe that's a hybrid Synodontis. Very beautiful. You ought to see if you can spawn them using the same spawning techniques they use for spawning lucipinnis & petricola Snydontis Catfish. That would be an interesting project.

I wouldn't use any LED that didn't have red in it for main lighting. That would be good for augmenting a more color intense second or primary light. Or combined with gro lux fluorescent.
