Hi, I'm Mayu. I'm a mom living in Canada 🇨🇦. We’re a family of three living in a small city nestled between Calgary and Edmonton called Red Deer in the province of Alberta.
I hope you enjoy my vlogs as I share snippets of my daily life with my daughter as well as our travel adventures! 😊

When my in-laws arrived in the States from Vietnam in the 1970's they told going to the grocery store was overwhelming because of all the choices. I can see what they are talking about in this video. Just buying mustard isn't that easy any more is it. Not with 10 different types.
@@tankareno it's so interesting to hear that there has always been an overwhelming amount of options at grocery stores!
😍

Hi Mayu! You guys surely did enjoy your day in this awesome place! 😂😊
@@galileogajudo9161 yes, we are enjoying all the beach days here! 😆☀️
I have a 10 month old and haven't made any good mom friends yet! You're lucky. Do you speak Japanese to your daughter?
@@rebecca_cao I hope you will find a good mom friend because it really does make a difference! I'm so grateful because until I met my friend, I was pretty depressed 😔 I do try to speak Japanese to my daughter!
Thank you for another enjoyable look at just not your life, but life in general. You really captured this event nicely. I could really sense a small town atmosphere there. I really like the chuck wagon race.
@@tankareno You are too kind! Thank you for your kind words and always enjoying my vlogs 🥰 I've been enjoying making them!
I did the conversion from canada to U.S. Dollars and your total for three people is really pretty good. We are just two people but based on your video we eat the same. Costco sells Japanese Mayo, might have to get a membership. I use it quite a few recipes but I really like in tuna and mayo onigiri.
@@tankareno oh really!! I'm sure our total will increase as our daughter gets older and starts eating a lot more haha I didn't know that Costco U.S. sells Japanese mayo. We don't have it here 🥺 I love Japanese mayo and tuna mayo onigiri too!
I would have SWORN they were actually sisters, not mother and daughter.
@@fionarhiannonpitbullextrao5786 haha we get that a lot!! 🙌🏻
@@lifewithmayu Oh trust me, I am not surprised. You both look amazing, and young. May you both be happy, healthy, prosperous, and blessed, all the days of your lives.

@@tankareno aww, thank you so much!! I'm so grateful she can sleep anywhere at any time if she is tired!! 🙏🏻😌
Soooo sympathisch alle beide 🥰

Good choice! 😆💕
This is a really nice video, I had no idea Yokohama gets so much snow. If you draw line across a map to the U.S. it is on the same parallel as San francisco which rarely if ever gets snow.
Thank you so much!! Yokohama does get snow but it doesn't happen often! Back in the day, I used to get so excited whenever it snowed. 🤭 It's interesting when you put it like that about San Francisco!
well done
Thank you! 😊
Mother looks so young. Oalmost like sisters

Hi! Did you take a Shinkansen to Kobe, or did you get there another way?
Hello! We didn't take the Shinkansen, we just took the train on the JR line! It's a lot cheaper 😉
I'm planning a trip to Japan with my daughter just under 2 years of age. Can children or infants be ok to go into onsen? NM
I'm planning a trip to Japan with my daughter just under 2 years of age. Can children or infants be ok to go into onsen?
Oh that's so exciting!! Yes, children can go into onsen. Just make sure they are not soaking in the bath for too long. If the water is hot, 5 min should be good enough! As for infants, I would be comfortable letting them go to a public onsen if they are over 1 but there are no set rules on that ☺️
I wanna copy this. Hope my daughter will join me here <3
I hope your daughter will join you too! Have fun dancing together!! 👯♀️💕
Super

Hi, question on the ropeway- was there a station at the midpoint where you could go down from or did you have to walk back up?
Hello! Yes, there was a ropeway station at the midpoint to go down so we didn't have to walk back up ☺️
