I'm planning a trip to Japan with my daughter just under 2 years of age. Can children or infants be ok to go into onsen? NM

Oh that's so exciting!! Yes, children can go into onsen. Just make sure they are not soaking in the bath for too long. If the water is hot, 5 min should be good enough! As for infants, I would be comfortable letting them go to a public onsen if they are over 1 but there are no set rules on that ☺️
