To all the people out there, thinking it was him... I have a different perspective: "I felt so lonely in your company." I totally get him. I have a wife, and I feel exactly the same way. We've been together for 12 years now, and she doesn't want to do anything with me... I invited her out on our 10th wedding anniversary. No. On our 11th. No. On our 12th. No. And countless times in between... She doesn't want to travel with me. To go shopping, or to the cinema with me. Doesn't want to sleep with me. Or to talk to me. And to the people who think that I must be the narcissist then... Let me answer you this way: If I'm a narcissist, she must be a psychopath! Because she wins all our arguments... There is gaslighting. Half truths... or lies? I'm not sure. Let me end on words from a different song: "I need a friend Oh, I need a friend To make me happy And not so alone" I have been walking today in the park, playing Wonderful Life and A Fairytale Gone Bad and this song, Now you are just somebody that I used to know... hopping that one day, it will come true for me. That one day, my wife will be just somebody that I used to know. "No need to run, and hide" from her abuse... "Tell them it's me that made you sad." I don't care... as long as you agree to the divorce. I want out! "Find a new one, to fool." All these songs are about narcissistic relationships... But I agree: in this song, she blames him... And he, blames her. And I have no idea who is right...

I never intepreted this song as the male being a narcisist. I understood it as someone succumbing to/struggling with depression and not being able to connect with their significant other, despite the fact they care about them. A narcisist would'nt write a song about how hurt they are from not being able to have a relationship.

My ex did the same thing. I suffered thru it because I believed I didn't deserve better. She finally left for another guy and I'm left with this shadow of a person. I'm a bad introvert with self image issues so I don't know how the rest of my life will go on my own.

I think you can be both a narcissist and a victim. People just paint narcissist with the evil villian brush these days though. It can be considered narcisstic to be needy, and use your partner as an emotional tampon. Which is what it sounds like Gotyes problem was,if we take the lyrics at face value. Hes addicted to always being sad,she always has to listen to him wallow in his own misery. But this is a person who still has pain and trauma. He says he doesnt need her love, may even feel he doesnt deserve it. But he thought he would at least still have her there as emotional support. On the other hand its not fair for her to have to be his company, while he stays in own misery. The part we dont know is could she be more empathetic or not? Or if hes actually putting too much of his burdens on her? Sounds like hes miserable and shes not. And she doesnt want to be the company that they say misery loves. I see him as a victim of himself and own depression. And as a happy person, she doesnt want to be dragged down by someone like this. I understand both sides of this coin

My beautiful lady can i give a little advice. stand up block him out of your life right now. sometimes people from the outside can see things the person living the drama can see... I looks like he still has a powerful hold on you.. And as long as he has that hold on you it blocks something much better to enter.. you are smart and extremely beautiful God has something much better for you your equal your soulmate the other piece of your being and purpose and he needs you as much as you need. Goodluck❤

Watch the older generation couples that spend there whole life together. They took there union seriously. most didnt even have sex until they where married. i was married 40 years to the same women and i was a rick guitarists for most of that time. But she trusted me on the road all them years and i couldn't wait to get home to her and never messed around with all them nasty groupies on the road. And why would she was the most beautiful women she was a model. sadly lost my baby to cancer in 2016. Miss her deeply. My friends always try to fix me up. But i keep telling them im married we just not together right and im fine with being alone until then😢❤❤

Mike Shinoda doesn't just rap. He is a graphic designer, pianist, songwriter, producer, singer, guitarist, and a humanitarian. He is the founder of Linkin Park (band). He has not let fame go to his head with being co-vocalist in Linkin Park with Chester Bennington. Mike is really good at rapping and singing. He really likes to help people through his music. He has also helped people develop their musical career through helping them with his producer skills. He released an album in 2018 named Post Traumatic under his own name. Post Traumatic is his journey of dealing with Chester's death and finding himself again as an artist with both music and art. It has 16 songs on it. It starts out in a dark place just after Chester's passing but as you go through the songs it gets lighter and happier.

I agree in part with what you're saying but my interpretation is a little different when it comes to the third party, "Kimbra". As to you, you are a beautiful women. You seem to be carrying a heavy burden. If your purpose is to educate others who live a similar fate, I can understand. Outside of that, I would say end the suffering and get on with your life. You have so much more to live for. Just like Kimbra who shook herself out of the picture.

This reminds me of my ex fiancée he was a narcissist and a emotional abuser and now that I’m happy he hates it he even went as far as to threaten to take his own life and I just met a good guy who has a similar story but he has a 6yr old with his ex she left both of them said she wanted nothing to do with them because she liked her freedom his 28 I’m 24 and I love them his son is so sweet even though we haven’t been on a date yet we’ve been friends for 8 months I really like him but we’re both scared to take the next step before my ex fiancée I was in a physical abusive relationship 6yrs before meeting my ex fiancée that one was worse no one knew I was dated the guy and he drugged and raped me him his brother and his best friend I was a virgin just turned 15 years old he got that I was leaving him for the abuse and for sleeping with a friend from school so he decided to take something precious to “get back at me” so when I met my ex fiancée it was hard to trust I didn’t like that he was so clingy on the first day of us meeting I only went out with him so he could possibly leave me alone but it got worse and somehow ended up with him as my boyfriend he said I love only 2 weeks of us knowing each other it took me 2 months to even get close to liking him and 4 months to say I love you and as soon as I put my guard down and allowed him in he started being mean with his words saying I was fat and flirted with other women in front of me even some of my family said he tried flirting with them and they just laughed at him and they said that’s probably why he tried to make me push them away because he didn’t get what he wanted I have a brother who’s 15yrs younger then me his 8 turning 9 in July and my ex started being mean to him towards the end so I told him his a child and when I left him gave him the ring back both the promise and engagement ring he flipped cussing me out getting mad with how calm I was not understanding why I wasn’t crying and now 8 months later he looks like a homeless person he is a alcoholic like his dad and got into drugs saying if he dies it’s my fault but the new guy makes me feel beautiful and tells me it’s not my fault he just knows he lost something amazing and rare so I’m gaining my confidence back and losing weight I went from 295lbs to 266lbs my goal is 195lbs sorry about all that I just really relate to this song and I’m a new sub ❤

My narcissist is likely never going to hoover me back in. I'm genre savvy. The moment she tries to take advantage of me, I will shut her down. I did that to her before. She's now bitching about how I'm this "Crazy, abusive ex" on her facebook page. Having her out of my life taught me a few things. I use a lot of Narc tactics in order to draw women into my life. These PUA tactics don't work on healthy women. Which is why I have never had a healthy relationship. As they say, industry tips industry.
