Glad you had a good time at TFCon. I was fortunate to attend TFCon in Toronto back in 2019 for my 40th (big road trip across Canada for three weeks). Had an amazing time and experience, was a great environment and made several new friends, and I enjoyed how it also had more than transformers, a lot more just 80’s nostalgia which was awesome. The entire event comes across as incredibly well put together though out and professional, especially when you see displays like that of The Chosen Prime. Will you be attending TFNation in August?

Cyber Battalion is good for younger kids. Easy to transform and under $20. Family Dollar has good smaller Transformers for around $10-$12, I don't know if they have Family Dollar in Canada. Or Walgreens.

The 'Armada' Red Alert (from Legacy Crosscut) custom class (TFCon Orlando 2023) is still in the "Bucket of Shame, to be completed later" Container, so don't feel bad. (the hotel breakfast didn't agree with me, necessitating a swift exit.)

I went to TFCon in Orlando last year and it was my first convention and although small enjoyed it so much more than my next convention which was MegaCon.
I’m really tempted to try to save up for one of the US TFCons next. I had a great time. It’s definitely a different atmosphere at a smaller convention. Cheers!
Who was selling those Autobot Spikes?
I did chat to the person who made them as he also made the big Metroplex. Unfortunately I can’t remember his contact. The only lead I have is that he passed the Metroplex print file to an established Transformers enthusiast who printed out a human sized Metroplex. Sorry I can’t be more help, cheers!

It was available to sit down and play from after the unveiling on Friday. I spoke to a couple of people who played it who said they weee experienced questers and found it tough, it was a quick conversation so they didn’t elaborate. I chatted to the lady on the stand who did a good job of making it sound really fun but I didn’t have time to sit and play myself I’m afraid. Cheers!

@2ndnature777 it’s a tricky one to answer, I’ve enjoyed some of my previous Showmasters events but in Spring the size of it had reduced and last summer it reduced in size hence I didn’t film. If you’re going to meet some specific celebs, see some panels and do a bit of shopping it can be a fun day out. It’s on a much smaller scale than MCM though this does mean it’s less overbearing and can be easier to negotiate. For me I definitely consider it a premium priced day out as I think it’s about £20 for entry and then train and food on top. For the summer one I’ve only ever done the Friday which has been enjoyable as it’s quiet but there’s still some cool cosplays. The main thing is I’ve no idea if it’s going to return to its larger scale from two summers ago or continue to be a smaller scale convention. In March they did have building work going on at the Olympia so that might have been the reason for the smaller size, if that’s finished it might be bigger. Hope that wasn’t to rambling 🙂

Holy cow. Didn't think I'd see them again... But the Celtos dude on your thumbnail (and some of the ones in the cabinets at 5:33) are some of my paint jobs from over 20 years ago. Kev White sculpts. They were some of my very first paint jobs as a professional when I was still in my 20s. Bloody hell lol. Can't believe they still have them (especially as the rights to Celtos were owned by a different company back then too). That's nuts. Nice video... Got a massive nostalgia hit from this. Thanks. @@GeekExplorers I don't think my wallet thanked me I spent about £250 now theres a big hole lol & I know what your saying you sometimes never know whats going to be there I probably see a couple of things I might have picked up like aliens & predator stuff but not a great deal probably to much anime Japanese type stuff there & not enough other stuff maybe should be a bit more even also should add some different things then last year as darleks was there again but it's just my opinion at least you enjoyed it did you pick up much
So many sad times for a collectors wallet 😂 Lucky for me I’m into anime so happy for that side of it. MCM’s great if you’re into loads of stuff due to broadness but not so good if you’re only into some niches. Yeah largely Transformers, a Gears, Crankcase, Wheeljack and Jihaxus. Then a bunch of those Blockees model kits, prints and a couple of graphic novels. I tend not to include all my pickups in my videos as this one was bloated enough haha.
Great video, as always! Have to say that it didn't seem particularly busy this time round. Like you mention, not much movie stuff is going on. The next one in October will be interesting with the joint convention their doing with EGX.
Thank you, it never felt particularly busy to me, even popped outside on Saturday lunch time and there was no queue to get back in. The isles were big and there was so much space allotted for food that I think it helped to relieve the pressure on the rest of the Con floor. Or it could have been busy and I’m just totally oblivious to it 😂 There was a House of Dragons display for the new series but there was constantly a queue to sit on the throne so I skipped it and I totally forgot to film the BBC Doctor Who display. Hopefully there’ll be more movie and TV things in October. Deffo looking forward to what Hasbro do for Transformers at the next one. I’m looking forward to seeing how it links up with EGX. Temped to check it out?

Very Expensive there, more like a retail store.
There’s definitely some high end prices, though there’s also some good deals. Everything I picked up was much cheaper than I’d seen online so thought I got some great deals. I guess it comes down to demand and market price. I had a great time, down to the people and the fun of hunting. It is essentially a massive market so just depends how much you enjoy toy hunting as to how much you’d enjoy the fair.

Thank you! There was some here and there, I wasn’t actively looking so there might have been more. I didn’t notice any stalls particularly loaded up with Lego. Though from what I could gather the event is a mix of regular dealers and people having a clear out, so seems like it could be different each time. Cheers!

Where the hell do they think up the rob dog prices from its ridiculous.
Presumably the prices are based on the venue costs, market demand a business viability. While I agree the early entry is expensive I felt like I got really good value for money. The prices I paid for everything I purchased was far better than if I had picked them up online. Plus met loads of awesome people and had a really fun day out, I’ll deffo be going again. Did you attend?
Best video yet dude. Always a fan, but this one seemed to me like just a bit of a step up from previous - this was perfect amount of talking, showing toys, great camera angles / effects, comparison to other cons, usefulness of early bird. Yep, smashed it dude 🙌🏼 Would love to see a rating for the cons, like you'd get in old console mags for computer games. Could be an overall score or certain criteria but adds 30 seconds to the video and can be something to get hyped about. What will he score it? OoOOOooooOOOhhhHhh
