  I love being on iRacing. As a queer non-binary person, this was hard to listen to. I've been lucky enough to have not come across this much bigotry, but I'd definitely be considering taking an intentional vacation. Hearing 8 dumped 12 put a smile on my face. Good job stealing that win from him.

  Yeah, I'm part of the LGBT as well, so I was having to bite my tongue the whole race. Thankfully, this has been the only big example of this sort of attitude that I've had to deal with. Was really happy I beat him out for the win. XD I probably should've sent a report in on it, but I was still pretty new to the service and didn't even know how. I won't let stuff like that slide in the future.

  Speaking of going five wide on Dega, I managed to do it in an open practice. We got between turns one and two before the inevitable happened. The funny thing is iRacing doesn't read my pedals correctly, so my brake and my clutch both brake. And it's only iRacing. I have NASCAR Heat 5, it was cheap, and the clutch is the clutch, the brake is the brake.

  Ok I am not sure all of iracing rules and what not but I could have sworn passing before the line was a black flag and so was passing below the yellow line 😂. The 3 was an idiot, tried to wreck the 4 and got mad when he failed miserably.

  Passing under the yellow isn't a black flag, but is seen as poor sportsmanship, and the other drivers don't have to let him back onto the racing surface. He DID get a black flag for passing before the line, and another for unsafe pit entry when he spun himself, so he went from first place to 2 laps down from the penalties. XD

  The 3 car cost himself the race. 4 car held his line in the turn and the 3 car was all over the place bumped into the 4 car and lost control.

  Passing under the yellow line is illegal in real life NASCAR on super speedways, but in iRacing it is not illegal. However, the cars you are are passing are under no obligation to let you back up on the track. So its usually not a great idea. Hanging back to get a jump on the start howecer is illegal, as is intentionally trying to wreck someone.

  I believe you can still be protested for advancing your position below the out-of-bounds line, according to the Sporting Code.

  @DieselWeasel Respectfully, that is incorrect. The yellow line/out of bounds rule is not mentioned anywhere in the official sporting code. However it is a widely known unwritten rule (according to Nim and iRacing staff) that going below the line itself on the straights and tri-oval is not protestable, other cars are not required to let you back up on the racing surface. If you go below the line and cause a crash, THAT is protestable. But just going below the line, or passing below the line is not. In the high banked turns, it's not permitted, but it's also impossible to advance your position down there without causing a wreck unless you're avoiding a crash already. That's just for NASCAR though. I believe other series (IMSA and such) have different rules regarding driving below the line. But they are not in the sporting code.

  It is not illegal to pass before the start/finish in iracing, as long as you only pass cars on the outside of your lane, when the green drops

  First, it looks like #3 passed under yellow, which I believe in NASCAR, would result in a stop and go penalty, then later, made an illegal overtake beneath the solid yellow line, which would result in a drive through penalty. The incident where he got angry at the #4 car wrecking him... if you replay the video, the #3 car actually faded up into the #4 car, resulting in the said contact, and leading to his spin and crash. The #4 car done nothing wrong. Edit: seeing as there was only 2 laps remaining when the #3 car commited said infractions, i believe he would either be disqualified, or, more likely, be issued a time penalty per infraction. I wanna say, like, 5 to 10 second per infraction, so a total of 10 to 20 seconds worth of penalties.

  I was actually the guy who congratulated #4 at the end, and I did it as a jab at the #3. XD I was watching the whole situation unfold from the garage, and it was cathartic watching him crash and not even make it to the finish line. Upon checking the results, he wasn't DQed, but he did end up finishing 2 laps down because of the penalties he incurred. I bet you could season a 3-course meal with the amount salt he must've had after that.
