Lmao, I've seen people spend 1k-3k on first-generation rubicons with the plastics off and motor apart. My 450s is probably the most reliable quad on earth right now.

That's a great find. We had one of them when I was growing up. They were geared low. Slow, but powerful. Yeah man good find for that price.

These wheelers are indestructible. They just have spark issues. I replaced ALL electronics on mine including the CDI and nothing. Bought another CDI after replacing it once and boom fired right up. Bought a faulty one the first time. Ran flawlessly until the key was left on. It has since done it again no spark, but I think it may be a bad CDI again. Might replace the voltage regulator too because it keeps burning up CDI's.

The problem with the welding is not helped by the fact you're welding galvanized tube the white whispy smoke is dangerous to your health . Great video ckeep them coming.

That piece that you found on the front is the voltage regulator. When the voltage regulator is bad, it overcharges the cdi box and makes the cdi box get hot and burns out the cdi box. Best to replace the voltage regulator if you are burning out cdi boxes.

You should have used the old piece as a template. A hair dryer or heat gun during stretching. Use a large bowl or something to get the contour. I would pull the staples at the front and back and fix it. You can always pull staples to get it tighter. Every project is a monument of your work.

Hides the key for the four wheeler with no spark 😂. I guess they could loose it. You really have been flipping stuff for years?? There is no acceleator pump on those ATVs so puping the gas did nothing 🤷🏻‍♂️or are you punking us on that 🤣

So you took the kids advice who screwed you on the 4 wheeler that " it only needs a coil" (with the broke brake drum and stripped rear end) without further testing to confirm that is the part it needs?🤷🏻‍♂️

Hey man i bought a 1989 TRX 350 and it's missing the stupid metal gas tank that Honda conveniently installed directly beside one of the hottest running mufflers ever put on an ATV. It's also missing the fuel pump and so my question is this... I have a brand new rack pack Polaris gas jug and I converted it into a regular gravity fed gas tank with petcock valve and I'm working on it now and wondering if you have ever tried gravity feeding fuel to bypass the fuel pump nonsense and save me oh almost three hundred dollars? I appreciate it my friend

Voltage regulator goes on the back left side above the back wheel. they burn out and if it does not work you wont spark. the voltage regulator has a wire that goes to the cdi cdi leads to coil pack coil pack to spark plug. sounds good i got the 1998 trx300 just replaced everyrthing but my wallet lmfao

That's a 1984 trx 200 and the front suspension has what's called J-Arms suspension. It's easy to tell that because the it has the 200cc motor. Honda only manufactured the trx200 for one year. The following year honda made the 250 model used the same body style with a few minor differences. The fuel tank now had a fuel guage plastics where slightly larger. The 84 trx 200 is one of the best atvs made at that time and still is. Having a selectable high/low gear ratio as well as reverse AND electric start in the 80s . Only the 84 atc200es big read was the only other machine that had all t Of those options. If you change the oil when nessasry it's just about guaranteed your grandchildren will be riding the same atv. Long live the Honda!

had a 450 a couple years ago. good machine but weak frames. honda makes great engines but there frames have always needed improvement. even the atcs have cheap frames. they rust bad up here in canada especially on the east coast and if you ride em hard when they are rusted your gonna be putting gussets in and welding frame cracks constantly unless you like riding a cockeyed bike. they started to figure it out on the second gen 350 ranchers (same frame just better metal), and the first gen 420 ranchers ive only seen a few frames need to be replaced since the 07 line up came out.

100 bucks..you stole it !..lol. ditch the frame, not worth the time or hassle to weld on it. you can find used frames fairly cheap from power sports nation. looking at the throttle side, this can be anywhere from '98 to '01 model. in '02, honda made these models with electronic front diff to swap from 2wd to 4wd. these were from '02 to '04, '04 was the last year honda made them here in usa.
