i put tubes in20 years ago their still workin thru 2 tire changes zero leaks
I worked on those for years , easier if you stand it on the rear rack to work on it ..

Yes a lot of welding. But like you said, will last a few more years.
On a frame I repaired replaced a bit of tubing then welded a skid plate to take the place of the x bracing worked well for what I had laying around the shop.

Actually a great idea! , I was debating what to do with the Xbrace , was going to cut it out and try to do some bracing with angle iron but that's a much simpler idea and provides some protection as well. Cheers
What size tubing do they use on the frames ?
just a fyi; those front rims are not honda rims !, they are for a yamaha !!.
When will you slap a turbo boy on one??

Waiting to get one with EFI, would be tough on a carby as the carb would have to be mounted on the intake of the turbo ...doable but hard to tune in. EFI should auto correct enough at low boost.
