  Yup, it’s true. No going back. I don’t care if it’s for a wedding or funeral or nice restaurant. If i can’t wear barefoot shoes, I’ll go anyway and let them kick me out. In general, i just get side-eye. F them. It’s my feet.

  Let’s not kid ourselves, crocs are ugly as sin. It’s not that “fashion designers” think symmetrical shoes are better looking, it’s that EVERYONE thinks symmetrical shoes are better looking. There’s a reason shoes have had a symmetrical toe box for the past several hundred years and it has nothing to do with fashion or trends bc those don’t last much longer than 5-10 years anyway

  I were barefoot shoes all the time, crocs are my "slippers" for taking out trash😂 they are easy to put on when you need to quickly go outside for errands.

  Some people do just get bunions! It's partly genetic, but it has to do with the mechanics of your foot, so straight toe boxes through the first metatarsal of your big toe help to minimize bunions, but won't necessarily prevent them from happening. Arches, knees, hips, and lower back all come into play, too. Of course, a good foundation is the first step to addressing some of those problems, though. But, (I'm not a podiatrist, so do with this what you will) I wouldn't reccomend crocs for long term foot health. See, shoes with a ton of extra padding are a little like wearing a splint or a brace: great if you're injured, or doing a high impact/strain activity, but by limiting the activation of certain muscles in your feet, they end up weaker, and as a result, more prone to injury. Plus, EVA foam tends to break down quickly and provide an unbalanced footbead over time.

  Great information. I’d love to see a part 2 where you teach a rider who’s completely new to reverts (including other board sports, so a complete freshy) how to do them, and other basics, like a sex change, and nudges. They’ll probably make the same mistakes as we, the viewers, do, so watching you walk them through correcting those mistakes would be even more beneficial. Would really take your lessons to the next level imo!

  It's because of the movie Idiocracy with Luke Wilson . The shoe design used in the movie was said to never be an actual shoe because it was definately to goofy looking to be really marketed. Later it became crocs and is this popular for comfort and compatibility to your foots actual shape.

  They have a wider toebox than most shoes although it’s still tapered at the front, not as anatomical as Altra or barefoot shoes. But I only wear barefoot shoes now, I can’t go back.
