    Yes, I'd like more balance vids! We are 66 year old OneWheelers, and we've each had a couple of falls, in spite of what we thought was good balance, strength and technique. However, this video shows me how much more balance we can gain, and the squat recommendation is one that I will take to heart. Good you!

    Hey there Jake, awesome video as always thank you so much for your shared experience and tips. Have you ever considered to put all of these trainings and tips how to get better into a playlist? It would make searching for them a lot easier, also knowing I am on the topic. I am new to OW, got mine a week ago and so far your videos have been the most beneficial. Anyway keep up what you're doing, you're doing it great 👍🤙

    New OW rider, getting ready while waiting in the queue - love these! I've been balancing on one foot, but up on the ball of my foot only (noticed that my ankles needed strengthening after riding a friend's OW). Would love to see core strengthening advice based on OW, as well as ankle-strengthening. Thanks for these, Jake!

I’m hoping my balance will improve and will add these exercises into my recovery work .. Thanks for being awesome and sharing such great content!

    Amazing how tricky balance is with eyes closed. Good points. Now if I can get my feet to not fatigue when I ride just a few miles....... my brother said when his feet start to get tired he knows his stance is off. I've tried switching up my stance but haven't found a sweet spot so I can ride out a fully charged battery. He rides 30 miles with no issue.

  • @JakeLeary

    Yeah the testing is not conclusive. The treatment was pretty straightforward tho for me, antibiotics until my knee wasn’t swollen anymore. But yeah we’ll never know if maybe I had some other rare disease that tested positive for Lyme and also was treated by antiobiotics.

    Something I found interesting when starting Onewheel (on a pint) was my the muscle memory takeover I got initially. I use a static balance board that sits on a hard, rubber, softball sized ball - initially on the Pint, I was massively over correcting heel to toe, but once that settled down I was ok. But… ..returning to the static board the next day, it was like my muscle memory had been overwritten with Onewheel twitches - it took me a while to get back to normal on there while keeping the Onewheel going. Anyone ever get that - moving from one thing to another (e.g. different boards or balance trainers) temporarily screws with something you could already do?

  • @JakeLeary

    @JakeLeary

    2 жыл бұрын

    Yeah absolutely. Your brain should be able to snap back into balance board mode with a little practice, and then once it does you should be able to switch back and forth pretty easily as long as you don’t go too long without doing one or the other
