CHAMPLOO チャンプルー

CHAMPLOO チャンプルー

We're an international group of high school students extremely fascinated and curious about what the place we live in offers beyond tourism and tropical vibes, as is a popular belief.

In search of the wonders of Okinawa, from its rich history as an independent kingdom and the site of one of WWII's deadliest battles to being a melting pot of American, Japanese, and its distinct Okinawan cultures alongside its entanglement in competitive modern geopolitics, we hope to be of help to anyone interested.

We are uploading 2-3 videos every month! Check it out〜

    Where's the abuse? As far as what I've have seen, it was pretty gentle and more of tuff endearment. No different from what you would get in the US Marines or US Army infantry! If you can take a little physical contact, what makes you think that you'll be able to deal with a street confrontation?

    Shinjo has lost sight of Uechi-ryu. He's more concerned with Okinawa's cultural importance as a vacation spot. So sad. So sad.

    I’m wondering what type of gi’s do they wear in Okinawa, particularly at this dojo?

  • @tatumergo3931
    @tatumergo39315 күн бұрын

    The top of the line of karate gi has always been the Tokaido. Just like for Judo the Mizuno is the top of the line. Ofcourse times have change and there are many other excellent brands.

    So the "warmup" consist of the sensei giving you a good beating lmao

    It's a form of body skin conditioning, since the makiwara is only good for the hands and feet. So to develop that iron shirt, you need to slap your body. It's kind of a primitive approach, I would rather do rolls and break falls on sand at the beach!

    смотрю и.... и одиночные и целые серии первым номером выполняются либо стоя на месте либо в один подшаг второй номер никогда не будет ждать атаки или ее продолжения он обязательно сместиться разорвет дистанцию ногами скорость ударов и руками и ногами очень высокая но это надо быть ГВОЗДЕМ что бы хапнуть эту атаку он бьет палкой ученика... первый-второй удар в пол силы ТРетий по полной !!!! и пауза.... если чувак в бою пропустит шокирующий удар (ну типа третьего) то ему паузы никто делать не будет его будут просто добивать

    A lot of science and practice for centuries that does not work....the guys learn nice moves like ballet, but they need much more upper body strength, the legs are not so important, you need sparring with boxing gloves....and you soon will see, that a hard puncher would break these guys all together in five minutes

    I don't comment on videos often but I have to on this video. I really, really, reeeaaally enjoyed this one and it's probably my most favourite on this channel! (I've been rewatching it over and over for some reason, even showed it to my grandma) I don't want to make this comment too long, but I really appreciate your guy's videos and I really miss Japan espacially Okinawa and as someone who's been doing Karate since a very young age, I love these kinds of videos. They somehow give me this "I'm at home" feeling if that makes sense! Last thing, when I visited Okinawa last month I got to meet Hokama Tetsuhiro-Sensei kinda randomly and he's such an interesting person, I'd love to see a lot more videos about different people's karate background and or about people there in general, as the first interview you guys have on the channel really moved me aswell! がんばれ!

    Why bald old man is abusing the karatekas and no one tries to contain him and his bad behavior? I dont get it. The karateka that got the wooden stick broken on his leg has an expression of constant pain. This looks dumb.

    Thanks for watching! We should’ve clarified at the beginning of the video... the guy constantly being picked on by sensei is Youngmin, the co-founder of this channel. I asked my sensei that he go especially hard on me to show you guys what traditional conditioning is all about! No worries, we don’t do this on every occasion!
