Rift equal tiny tiny amount of fresh bright red blood that you just barely see during a wipe on the toilet paper and goes away within ca 1 to 2 weeks. (Doctors usually say longer because colonoscopy costs allot and the chance of cancer is low.) If there is more blood than that, half a tee spoon, then it is something else. The main suspects are following: Hemorrhoids = Overall harmless, but needs treatment. Blood is not dark red or black. You will/might have issues sitting and there will be pain close to the anus area. Ulcerative Colitis = Serious and chronic, but not life threatening if treated. Light to heavy bleeding, blood is more fresh red than dark red or black. You need a colonoscopy to get diagnosed. Medicine will often get the chronic decease back into remission. Worst case the section of the intestines that is affected might be needed to be removed and you might need a stomach poop bag. Usually only needed if the medicines do not work. Crohns = Similar to UC, but higher up in the intestines and usually considered more serious than UC. Colonoscopy to confirm, meds to remission etc. However one can consider this with a slight higher chance of treatment issues leading to sugary being needed. Blood can be fresh red or darker. Darker blood meaning the issue is further up the intestines than fresh red blood. Cancer = Serious, life threatening, can develop fast should be treated ASAP. Blood usually darker and not red fresh, but can still be red fresh. No symptoms outside of blood in the stool or you might not even have blood in stool as well. The issue here is that if it is cancer. Outside the blood on your toilet paper, you might not notice any other issues until it spreads. Blood tests only shows if it has spread because it is then in the blood stream. When cancer spread it is a huge issue and can be a sign of it being too late. You usually only get pains and other, after it has spread. Colonoscopy and biopsy (they grab a small sample from a grabber int the colonoscopy camera tool) of the bleeding area is needed to give a diagnosis. In short, if you have blood drops in your stool visit the doctor asap. Specially if you do not have pain in your anus area. I would want a colonoscopy to make sure it is not cancer or UC/C. If the doctor, via statistics, says it is probably not cancer, which might be true. I would argue get second opinion for the simple reason that if it is cancer (low chance). The longer you wait the more serious it gets and the point of no return can happen FAST!!! Just because overall few get it, does not mean no one gets it. Colonoscopy is painless, with zero recovery time needed. You just take some meds to give you diarrhea to clean out the tubes, so to speak, get intravenous pain meds the next day during treatment and the robotic camera goes up your behind. It is painless and the risk of something going wrong is extremely low if your intestines are overall healthy at the time of first checkup. For men it is more the "going up your butt" that is the issue, but the camera robot is very small and every doctor you will meet have done it probably 100 to 1000 times before they meet you. Trust me, they will be professional about it and understand the mental aspect some may have. Unlike untreated cancer, which will guarantee you a 100% death rate, with pain, unless treated in time.

My aunt smoked from the age of 12 until 94. She smoked 3 packs a day. And drank a 12 pk of beer everyday rarely ate . And died at 94 from a fall . She broke her hip. Everybody does not die from smoking or catch cancer from cigarettes. I'm more worried about cancer in the food today. I have known people ate healthy , did not smoke or drink and died in there 30s from cancer. 😮😮😮😮😮

This scares me as I’ve had 2 blood transfusions in the past 2 years, hemoglobin at 5. Had explosive blood coming from behind and when I gave a “stool” sample it was a golf ball size of a blood clot (coagulated) with no stool. They have told me it was celiac- wasn’t, then gallbladder- had it removed, and now still having stool issues and stomach pain. They claim the bleeding is all from an ulcer, but I’ve been on protonix and carafate for years. I have extreme back and bone pain, and had upper/ lower scope with no conclusion. I am pale, although I am of brown skin tone stemming from anemia. I get sad bc I have a toddler girl that just wants to play but I’m so weak I can’t hardly move and yet I cannot get help or further testing from my drs. ❤ I pray like her I hope they don’t find anything, but if something is there I hope they do find it. And then I share the same sentiment thinking I’m the crazy one. Please keep me in your prayers. I will make another apt Monday and keep trying.

This is medicine in the USA now…. If they had run the tests and done the scans earlier, the cancer could have been treated at stage 1,2 or 3. Difficult to sue these physicians and health care providers, but if you have not consulted a malpractice attorney, maybe you should. Don’t forget that the worse the stage, the more drugs and treatments they can bill for. It is sick, what’s happening in the USA now. I wish you well in your journey to complete recovery.

If he thinks any doctor would assume cancer immediately when only his blood glucose is elevated then he is delusional. It happens too frequently and the cost of health care would be even higher if that was the case. Would be an unprecedented amount of unnecessary testing.

Anne had such an optimistic attitude despite her diagnosis. Her shared knowledge of Lung cancer is greatly appreciated. It was a sad moment having watched her interview to then read that she had died. The information she left us with should be shared. Anne, I believe you can read this. I want you to know our prayers are with your daughter and family. I am the partner to a fine gentleman whose life was cut short by the disease, GLIOBLASTOMA 4. After his diagnosis he suffered until his passing for nine months. Peace and comfort to all.

January 1, 2023 I went to the emergency room for lower back pain and they did a CT scan CAT scan and when the doctor came back in, they told me that I had two fracture ribs one the right and one on the left and they said that they saw suspicious of cancer in my bones that I needed to see my primary doctor as soon as possible. So I made appointment to my primary care doctor sent me to have bloodwork, done and when he got the test results back, he called me on January 31 when I got off from work and told me to go to the emergency room right now so I did and they admitted me they sent me to Baptist Hospital that night. When the doctors came around that morning they sent me to have a bone biopsy a kidney biopsy and they took a lot of blood and I also had two blood transfusions, and I also had five treatments of plasma I had chemo and they told me that I have Mulitple Myelom so I was in the hospital for 16 days. So when I left the hospital, I had to get an appointment to start radiation. I had 2 1/2 weeks of radiation. Then I had to do chemo four months of chemo then I got ready for my bone marrow transplant. I had to go to hospital the whole month of August getting ready for my transplant on August 30 I had my transplant. I was in the hospital for about four days. I went home ended up back in the hospital. I was running a high fever and I came home. My transplant was successful. I didn’t need a donor. They use my cell so I had to go back to the doctor 100 days after my transplant so on December 14, 2023 I went back to see My oncology. He said that they saw no cancer in my bones that I was in remission. so I’m still going to see My oncology I still see my kidney doctor, but I am doing well. I still have injection. I’m on Revlimid for my maintenance. I just thank God for my my team of doctors and caregivers.
