Wow that's so ugly
I ordered one yesterday. Mine will be at my house on Saturday.
💥❤️🔥🤯
Love this guitar 🔥🤘
That shit sound just like newsteds older sounding bass
I think Dingwall kinda gets painted with the same brush as Schecter does I.E. people just think of them as a metal only instrument. Just as this video shows though Dingwall (not in this video, but Schecter as well) are very versatile instruments. Great tone and playing, man. Well done.
Scale length is 26.5" I think not 25.5" (description)
Sharp sound 🔥🤘
Holy dissonance Batman! Great guitar and video
Perfect tone 🔥🤘
Perfect guitar 🔥🤘
Sick guitar, sick video. Keep it up!
No, they didn’t decide let’s make a white one. Gibson are vexatious litigants and they refused to work with James so he went to ESP. This has happened with the Snakebyte and Vulture shapes as well. Get your facts straight.
so the tobacco burst is solid maple top with a veneer?
Hey man, decent video. I liked that you played with a pick and chose Crush by Polyphia as a song to show the instrument's flavours with a pick (I think Clay Gober even uses this model of bass to play the song live these days if it's not the LACS ATK he's got). I think you should have played Dystopia with your fingers and you should have definitely done more of the demo with fingerstyle since, you know, you're showing off a bass!
I'll never understand why they decided to go with classics in these guitars. I mean, if you're going to go active why not moderns. It's in the name. Lol
At its price point one of the best basses made. One of the rare basses that sound just as good passive as active . I have owned basses that cost 2-3x what this bass cost and it sounds just as good or better . The action and playability of this bass is superb !!
The Thinline has a noticeable warmer low end and more open tone
Cliff played Aria not alembic. Jason played alembic.
Cliff owned an Alembic. He used it frequently in between the first and second album. But it was stolen out of his car one random day. There are pics of him using it online.
If you Google Cliff Burton Alembic there are several photos of him using one. It took 5 seconds to verify so IDK what you're on about.
What was that opening riff!? That was so cool! Please tell me.
It's a well made guitar. I own one. Surprised about its price. Indonesian made doesn't reason completely. Jacksons are usually pricy, not to mention Floyd-7, Fishman-7's etc. Dunlop Strap Locks are a charm. I know it's a Signature, so i cannot complaint but the only downside is no inlays., soo, I use fretboard note markers. anyway, no volume on the way, -huge pro. No tone, -I don't need one. solo Cut, absolutely killer design. waist cut for max comfort playing in sofa for example. this guitar is filled with extremities with only hint above 1k. Reason for price? I have no idea except to get one immediately.
Its called Vintage compound because its vintage, its not new or strange. But Im old as dirt. So I knew, grew up with it.
"AL- DER "OR "ALL DER"
How's it balance on a strap? Neckdive?
What amp and cabinet are you using?
What amp and cabinet are you using?
Alembics are a privilege to Play Love my Rogue 5
Cant hear the guitar with that excessive distortion
Yeah, from the stand point of looking at this guitar as a three pickup custom, I’ll pass. With no back binding, no ebony and I’m not a fan of the wiring setup. Much prefer the way Frampton’s custom is put together.
Love these guitars!
No matter which sub-brand of a major brand it is, my impression is that the sound tends to be somewhat similar. However, the biggest issue is that the sound always feels muffled, like it's trapped inside and can't come through, as if there's a layer blocking it. This becomes especially noticeable when compared side by side with the genuine American-made versions. So, I’d rather choose a second-hand instrument over a sub-brand. In my opinion, even though sub-brands are cheaper, they still offer very low value for money in terms of sound quality.
Of course if you were in fight club, you wouldn’t tell us anyways!
Just bought mine last Saturday!!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Nice
On the non quilt model it seems that u get the neck pickup flipped. Why is that ?
Poor quality control. Or intentional greenie phasing
@@Ottophil I understand why its flipped. My question is for everyone who demos or talks about it never mentions the fact that the solid versions have a flipped neck pick up and the qultied ones do not. It's a feature, it should be mentioned in my opinion.
what you said about the wood and the pickups is funny when in fact it makes NO difference, it's about what you play it through and the speakers you use period but the guitar does LOOK nice!
YMMV.
Pointy headstock is a deal breaker for me. I don't know why they are so adamant about keeping the ugly ass thing. It's not like it's iconic like the Strat or Gibson headstock.
Then dont buy it. Its tailored for us who like the iconic 80s pointy shredder guitar.
Do you even know what the word iconic means? For the record this head stock is pretty based on one of your "Iconic" Gibson head stocks the explorer the banana head stock and yes you have your opinion and that's fine so enjoy your tuna fish sandwich and stop being such a grape!!
@Groovelife. Are you serious ?? Do you want a King Kelly with a fender or PRS headstock lol. The pointy Jackson headstock is the truth and the way lol
Arguably the coolest headstock ever
I love the Jackson headstock. Only thing better than it imo is a REVERSE Jackson headstock
A guitar is only as good as it's amp set up . I can take a fesley and make it sound really good on a Marshall tube amp.
Thanks for posting this , really enjoyed the in depth review. Very cool guitar
I bought the Daphne blue one back in January and gig it regularly. Great bass, plays fantastic and the pickups sound amazing. It makes a nice addition to my White Blonde AV 58 and my fiesta red road worn P.
A Precision bass with Jazz bass neck, like what the Late Great Duck Dun did with some of his. Cool
Nice, but… still sounds just like a strat
Yeah i think the strat tone mostly comes from the tremolo, if you use thicker strings it'll probably make it sound different
@@feltyash6484 The pickups are like 99% of the sound, guys.
@@EdibleDeodorant Depends on what you listen for. i for instance don't listen for the single coil brightness at all, to me a strat is that thwack of the tremolo. You can make a humbucker just as bright as the single coil and you would tell much less of a difference than if you hardtailed the strat
what i find the most impressive is how confident and technical someone talks about tonewood.
F@#$%g awful demonstration. Excellent spokesman, terrible musician.
Such great tones the entire way through
Nice riffing and sound! Which plugin or amp did you use?
I just bought this man and im wanting to have the same electronic layout as you with passive pups, dod you do the install your self?
Sick tone and playing!!!
Been through 2 brand new ones from Amazon neither worked
