The wind waker, is my favorite game of all time, so my opinion is a little biased, but..... damn this hits hard

It really is a shame that this game didn’t get the respect it deserved when it first came out. No game in the series to this day has topped it for me personally. I’m glad that it’s now widely loved, at least.

I discovered this too one day. It's funny in some of these missions they actually tell you to return to base sternly but then usually nothing comes of it. Except maybe in the dive dive dive mission perhaps you are left stranded ;p
The timeline that Wind Waker exists in is quite bleak and dark: Ganondorf returned and there was no Hero to stop him so the only solution the gods of Hyrule could come up with was to send a cataclysmic rain to hinder Ganon’s ambitions. It’s ironic how the bright colors of the game graphics and upbeat nature of the soundtrack contrasts the watery apocalyptic state of the world. What little left of humanity there is struggles to survive atop islands in a sea that provides no fish or sustenance. However there was always hope that a better future was achievable and that’s what this song perfectly encapsulates.
the gods took in mind posterity. they had to keep alive the progeny of the future generations. eventually, a hero did come. and for that, I am truly grateful. -ravi

i used to watch my dad play this game all the time when i was little. now i can play it by myself with little to no help. this harmony tugs a lot of heartstrings

This song makes me remember my childhood. Played Wind Waker a lot back in 2005.
If only the game had included this, it seemed like it was leading up to it.
This game helped shape some of my most precious and earliest memories in life. I would have been only 3 but I remember my dad coming home with this game and a Gamecube. I feel so old now. My dad and I would play this a lot when I was so young, and it always has and will remind me of my mom, we both have always had such an affinity for the ocean. This music is an explosion of emotions. No matter what age I live to, I am so grateful that I will always be able to look back on these memories. Can't wait to share this adventure someday with my own children.

I admit to preferring Twilight Princess to Wind Waker, but Wind Waker has the far superior soundtrack. Twilight Princess's soundtrack is stuck in the past, on Ocarina of Time nostalgia, while Wind Waker boldly looks ahead to uncharted territory with a mostly new soundtrack, and it's a much better decision.
I like WW for the Open World elements and the art style ofc. TP has the hidden village which goes hard in every aspect. What I also like about TP is the character Colin. He reminds me of myself where I never thought I would do anything heroic. But when push came, I stood my ground, and did was what right. That's the point of courage, to inspire. That's the theme of how Courage and Wisdom ALWAYS triumphs over sheer and raw Power. Also, my cat, his name is Colin cuz it looks like he has a : on his neck. huh I just put two and two together. Synchronicity? Bro, what is Baki even about XDDDDDDDDDD
Remember that wind waker link is not a reincarnation or a descendant of the hero of skyward sword. He just a kid wanting to save his lil sister and got the recognition of the goddesses for all his great exploit. The hero of wind is one that everyone can relate.

I knew it had part of the credits theme in it, but I somehow didn't think to read the description until now. Makes me want to upload this to Soundcloud so I can play it with my screen off. I originally didn't like how the Zora and Rito were in BOTW cuz I liked who in WW it's implied that the Rito evolved from the Zora. Medli and sage Laruto. Also for Makar and Fado. My position has also evolved into one that is holistic. A view of the whole. That, intuitively know. Heuristic.
I played wind waker for the first time during the beginning of covid quarantine... Now it seems a long time ago, even if it was only a couple of years ago. Tracks like this one are stuck in my head like I know them from my childhood
