Moments In Life

Dear friends, I received my second copyright strike today. I must take down all movies I've uploaded so far. Please bear with me until the strike period ends. Thank you.

One of the essential functions of art is to reflect reality and beauty. Art tries to capture and portray happiness and beauty, as well as pain and suffering, as they are, even better. Art reveals and displays the joy and sorrow that may be hidden in a glance or a smile. Art may travel to far-off lands and bring images of nature and stories of people. The artist constantly strives to improve her skill and ability, to use better tools, and to gain more experience. This will improve the quality of the work she creates. For the artist, art becomes a mission, and a means of worship. The artist seeks his existence and credibility in the beauty and/or reality of the work he creates.

    It's true that droughts have occurred naturally throughout history. But what do you thing about the scientific consensus on the reality and severity of climate change?

  • @silverbackhayabusa
    @silverbackhayabusa Жыл бұрын

    @@MomentsInLife463 The best part of modern "science" is people buying into the premise of "consensus" as some sort of argument. If we stuck with scientific consensus, the world would be flat and the center of the universe. "In science consensus is irrelevant. What is relevant is reproducible results. The greatest scientists in history are great precisely because they broke with the consensus. There is no such thing as consensus science. If it’s consensus, it isn’t science. If it’s science, it isn’t consensus. Period. ... Finally, I would remind you to notice where the claim of consensus is invoked. Consensus is invoked only in situations where the science is not solid enough. Nobody says the consensus of scientists agrees that E=mc2. Nobody says the consensus is that the sun is 93 million miles away. It would never occur to anyone to speak that way."

    This is an interesting observation! While it is true that in the past, people may have attributed natural disasters or events such as droughts to a higher power, our understanding of these events has evolved over time.

    One way or another the load gets transferred to the ground through the spine and legs. Carrying the load on the head has the advantage of being in a direct load without the problems that come with carrying on one side or the other-which causes a bending moment that has to be resisted. But one disadvantage is that the load has to be taken through the neck which is not as capable as the bigger vertebrae and muscles lower down. I think the Western way of having straps over the shoulders and a lean forward (to counteract the bending moment) is kinder to the body and it is therefore possible to carry bigger loads. Human experimentation is similar, but not the same thing as what we recognize as evolution in that it tries out all sorts of different things-some of which work a bit better than others. It turns out that wheels work better that any form of carrying loads.

  • @MomentsInLife463
    @MomentsInLife463 Жыл бұрын

    Thank you for sharing your thoughts on carrying loads and the advantages and disadvantages of different methods. As you mentioned carrying loads on the head can eliminate the bending moment that occurs when carrying loads on one side of the body, but it does put additional strain on the neck. On the other hand, carrying loads with straps over the shoulders and a forward lean can be a more comfortable and efficient method for carrying larger loads, but it may not be the most effective method in all contexts or cultures. In terms of evolution and human experimentation, it's true that as humans have progressed and technology has advanced, we have found more efficient ways to transport goods and materials, such as with the use of carts, vehicles, and other forms of machinery. However, it's also interesting to consider how our evolutionary history has influenced the way we carry and transport items, and how our bodies have adapted to these methods over time. Your comments help me improve my videos, which I greatly appreciate. I have another video discussing carpal tunnel syndrome from an evolutionary perspective, if you have time to watch it: kzread.info/dash/bejne/aWtmw5qfdLrUY9I.html

    I have never liked it. Don't care some call it art. It is. Not to me. Yes David is in the Bible - he was never described as totall nude nor was it suggested we do so. Art to you is not necessarily art to me.

  • @MomentsInLife463
    @MomentsInLife463 Жыл бұрын

    Thank you Bettye for your comment. Just like you, I believe art is a subjective experience, and not everyone will appreciate or enjoy the same artworks. What one person may consider as art, another person may not. However, it's important to recognize that art is not just about personal preferences, but also about cultural, historical, and social contexts.

  • @deannahoward5529

    What grade were the students number 1 number 2? What was the context being given when showing the artwork and this is ridiculous? Now I don't think that we should be showing nude statues or even having them to be honest. It could have been a beautiful art form without you know molding the man's penis and having it on display. But if it was shown to a high school class for instance and being discussed for the actual art form that it is that would be one thing if it was. Shown to elementary school children under different context. That's not okay so I need more information on it

  • @MomentsInLife463
    @MomentsInLife463 Жыл бұрын

    Thank you Deanna for your comment. It's a valid point to ask for more information about the context in which the Michelangelo's David painting was shown to the students. It's important to consider the age and maturity level of the students and the educational purpose of the artwork being shown. It is also worth noting that nudity in art has a long history and is often used to convey emotions and themes that go beyond sexual content. Michelangelo's David is a celebrated masterpiece of Renaissance art, and its nudity is an essential aspect of its cultural and historical significance. However, it's important to have a thoughtful and nuanced discussion about the use of nudity in art in an educational setting, and to consider the cultural and historical context of the artwork being shown. It's also essential to ensure that any such display is done in a responsible and age-appropriate manner.

    As someone who has had a family member affected by leprosy, I can't thank you enough for shedding light on this disease and its history. Growing up, I saw firsthand how the disease affected my loved one's life and the stigma attached to it. It's important for people to understand that leprosy is a disease like any other, and that it can be treated with the right care and support. Watching your video has given me hope that people's attitudes towards leprosy are changing, and that we are moving towards a more inclusive and accepting world. Thank you for bringing attention to this issue, and for advocating for those who are affected by leprosy.

The surrounding landscape is absolutely beautiful and filled with natural wonders, including the Pont d'Arc natural bridge and the Ardèche Gorges. Klaus Kinski is someone I can't help but like. Although I have only seen him on screen, there's something magnetic about the man despite (or probably because of) his madness, anger, and ravings. He's unlike any other actor. There was no one else like him. He was crazy, passionate, and captivating. His uniqueness made him stand out.
