I saw this band in a local club in South Wales in 1969, and a friend of mine was the DJ on the night so i was invited backstage and met the band i invited them to a party after the gig the drummer Dave Bidwell wanted to come but had to go to a gig some distance away and couldn't get transport if he didn't go with the band so he gave me his phone number and told me to give him a ring if i was ever in London, so a little while after myself and a couple of friends called in on him at his flat near Portobello Road and spent the day with him and his beautiful girlfriend, a really lovely guy and some great times

An excellent singer (who I didn't know), Trudy Peters managed to sing magnificently despite the excess of notes from the (brilliant) Bud Powell. This display at the piano was unnecessary. This singer's talent saved this beautiful standard.

So swinging. And true what others said here -- the lyrics Hendricks put to the music were great commentaries on our world, misguided desires...what pioneers these 3 were! I played with a great singer on a cruise ship years ago (Bethany Smith) doing LH&R's Cloudburst. Fantastic

Marianne was the daughter of a Countess no less. She was spotted by Andy Oldham the Stones manager who thought she had a commercial face. She’d never sung before and he chose the Stones, “As Tears Go By” I remember this innocent young girl so shy as she took to the stage on Top of the Pops and I was stunned by her rendition of this song. I’d heard the Sones version on an LP but this was so believable, I could believe she watched children play as she cried those tears. She came through all the scandal of her affair with Jagger and became bigger and better. Way to go Marianne❤️❤️🕊️🕊️✌️

When you put them together you know what the last one must be. Baby so truth, honor and happiness Детка, так что правда, честь и счастье And one thing more, И еще кое-что ... Meaning only wonderful, wonderful love that'll make four. Of the wonderful things that you get out of life there are four. And they may not be many but nobody needs any more. Of the many facts making the list of life, Из множества фактов, составляющих список жизни, Truth takes the lead. And to relax knowing the gist of life, It's truth you need. Then the second is honor and happiness makes number three. When you put them together you know what the last one must be. Baby so truth, honor and happiness Детка, так что правда, честь и счастье And one thing more, И еще одна вещь, Meaning love and that's the real score and more than enough when times are tough and poor. They may not comprise a lot Still (you) only got those four. And there ain't no more.

Agreed. Saw him with Flo and Eddie (2 of the 1960's Turtles) who opened for Alice Cooper in 1974 (?), and he amazed me by how continuously improvisational his playing was yet still rockin' the beat. Sensational!

I don't know if you are familiar with my work. I have done a fair bit with most of the prominent improvisers. I have over 2000 solo pieces recorded on my KZread channel. And two newly recorded in the last 12 months solo albums on Discus Music, "Chasm" and new for release this May, "Now we are Here" 🎹🙂

Well,im the drummer. I think i played a little skip beat that wasn't so great. Should of nailed it with just pow,pow . Ones. More punk, simpler less complicated. She had her heart in it and did better than I did. Carol.ym.She was very mellow, and easy to wotk with!
