So back when I was 60kg (about Sydney's size), I was called "chubby" by the other skinny girl in the office (who was shagging the married boss). I put on a bit of weight over the years. I was skinny until my mid 30s. Then I tried out a free gym membership. The stares from the staff and the other gym goers. Since then stress had me put on 35kg in one year. If I was "too fat for the gym" before, I have no hope now. Plenty of us fatties want to get fitter/thinner. I have tried sport. Mixed gender sport. The males were great. The women when they turned up beat the shit out of me on the field. THEN complained and became hostile when I wouldn't keep playing after getting a head injury. What for???? Guess I am "competition". I WAS getting leaner while I played. People will always complain. Just go see your doctor and get a checkup. If any numbers are off, get onto fixing them asap. I despise running, so I walk. I also just joined a hobby group, which is at the top of some really steep stairs. After a few weeks, I had insane knee pain, but it passes.. And those stairs are easier to climb now! And I'm in Australia. so no Ozempic for me. And I'm not rich anyway.

Obesity brings consequences. My brother was massively overweight, and ignored it for years. He made no genuine attempt to correct it, ignored his mounting health problems, and brushed off warnings from people for years, and wound up passing away at the age of 42. So this 'fat is healthy' mentality is a load of shit.

I think that too many people lack the minimal political consciousness to understand what is really going on in our world at this time. At the top, there are a few wealthy elites fighting each other to grab power over the whole planet. While they are divided among themselves, they are very united in their struggle to control the masses. And they are using a myriad of angles of attacks against people at the bottom of the power structure. The body positivity, the gender ideology, the cancel culture, all those are aimed at the same goal : reduce the population and make slaves of the remaining few. All the insistence on individualism is not to make people feel better, it is to make sure people stay isolated and unable to synchronize their actions and resist the eugenicists. That's what I think about all that...

I am laughing at the fat chart. There is obese and morbidly obese and is counted on BMI, not size. I am 180 and a size 12. Most 180 are around a size 16 and 18. This is why they use BMI, not size or even weight.

As a former morbidly obese healthy person I call bs when they say they love it! I was healthy at 300, healthier now at 180. I had help. Bariatric surgery. I had problems controlling my eating habits and decided to get some help. I feel at my best! No heart palpitations (keep in mind I was deemed healthy at 300 even with these symptoms) less fatigue, menstrual cramps decreased by 70% and I love I look and feel better. I call bs on anyone who says they really want to be that way and they know it. I call denial.

Take away from this video is - Mean girls are mean. Here they are saying "it's my body, I'll do what I want" yet someone tried to lose weight and they go berserk. How is that any different than the head cheerleader telling her fat friend "a moment on the lips is a lifetime on the hips"?

3:30 Dude, being fat sucks. I personally know. The problem is that these people were allowed to get addicted to food as kids and never knew anything else. If they knew what it was like to be fit vs be fat, we wouldn't even be having this conversation

There was one woman that I think had it right. She stated that the original intent of the body positivity movement was for women to not be so hard on themselves following pregnancies or weight gain due to the effects of age or illness. That's a message I could support. It's just unfortunate that things like this get co-opted by activists and 'True Believers'.

just get enough exercise to counter all the junk food you love. i regularly pour butter on pizza, drink whole milk, drink 3 handles of whiskey per week mixed with a 2 liter of cola per day, eat sugar/hamburger/chz/bacon. i still have a resting heart rate around 40 bpm. simple, i walk around 90 miles a week at work and have been around 6'1 180 pounds for 20 years. ppl keep telling me that's still unhealthy but i've yet to see any evidence of that, my last blood sugar test was actually low and running rarely affects my breathing. laziness is the real problem, find a job that keeps you in motion so it's like being paid to go to the gym, win win

if you balance with actual foods most of the time then yeah you’re fine, you can have whatever cheat meals you want lol. but if you truly eat like that most of the time i’m sure your arteries will reflect that and it’ll catch up in other ways🥴.

Body positivity wasn't for fat people. It was for people who felt shame and embarrassment over things they couldn't control. Burn scars, amputation of a limb, skin disorders. Not being fat.

Im surrounded by obisity and health issues that come from being fat, like diabetes, congestive heart disease, and arthritis. My mom has 4 sisters and i think 3 of them have diabetes (i dont really know my other aunt so i cant remember if she is), my grandma died of bad diabetes, congestive heart disease and was over weight, my aunt is over weight for years and is now on ozempic to help with her arthritis and diabetes. My sister is on ozempic due to weight gain but also because she is at a higher risk of getting diabetes. Hell, even at our hunt camp we had one of our guys die of bad diabetes, and another guy we can hear before we see him. Dude's always out of breath. I do not want to follow in my family's history or die from that. So yeah, im "fatphobic" i fear being overweight and developing all those diseases and heath issues with being fat.

Wait a minute.. one of the fatties said "getting thinner isn't what healthy is. It's not what feeling good is." This explains so much! If the beluga whales believe health and "feeling good" is the same, their views suddenly make some sense. Calories are happy food for the brain. We should argue against them by saying "heroin gives you the best feeling you can have, but is it good for you?"

10:03 She reeks of defeatism. And weight stigma? She and her obese and fat-acceptance fellow "militants" are the one shaming people losing weight for health. And what the hell does that have to do with fascism and "patriarchism"? Why not equating eye colour with the likelihood of being a tank mechanic, while they're at it?🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♀️

It’s one thing to be fat, it’s another thing to be obese. It’s one thing to be carrying a few extra pounds, or ten or twenty, or even thirty. It’s completely different to be 200 or 300 pounds overweight.
