This isn't your typical metal detecting youtube channel. I will take a deep dive into Wisconsin's rich native american history showing you artifacts never see before on KZread. Recent as 1700s trading posts along the Wisconsin river, to ancient native villages sites dating back 11,000 years ago. of course there will be your average 1800s farm house or old bottles being dug as well. But my true focus is on documenting this states deep rooted history, and those lost stone and copper treasures that come with it. Come join me as a take a dive into the past!

Can I ask what part of the state you are from? I am going to hit the Milwaukee River for Solomon Juneau era relics. I live in SE WI
Central Wisconsin, but I get around the state often. Just came from your part of the state today actually.
Not a lock bolt. im subscribing for sure! I am also in WI and am seachering for the same. i also am a gunmaker, specializing in flintlocks.
Where in Wisconsin?
Well done.
This is so cool!
I really enjoy your videos, thanks for the calming and informative content.
No problem, thanks
Nice finds, I have a site here in Maryland that was a fur traders cabin. It dates to the 1700's. A house was built on the site. In 1975 my dad and I detected it. We found a 1700's King Georgeous coin in about 15 minutes. We never went back, but now I have permission from the home owner now. I figured I detect it this fall. The cabin is described in old records and maps from the 1700's . I can't wait to go.
Very nice, let me know what you find! Good luck
@Greysen_Reimer I've been around detecting since I was 10, I'm now 60. We concentrated on Civil War relics for years and years. I recently got interested in the Era of relics that you are finding, thanks to your videos. I also have a place that on historical maps was a historic Indian site and dates back to ancient man I believe. One landowner said no to me looking for arrowheads and artifacts. Not many know about this history in my local area. I need to gain permission for this site, I think it could be a good one, ancient and historical
great video!🤪 i lerned a lot about metul detecting !👨🎓🎓
Monkey 🙉
Good Finds and what a place to be detecting.. Happy Hunting . Peace
Is a special site, thanks
👍👌
Love your enthusiasm for the finds and the extra explanatory information. Great video. Andy
Thanks
Awesome finds!
Great relics saved. Good job.
Nice finds dude! I like the ramrod part & the tinkler! I enjoyed the photo inserts of the rings& other ramrod parts. Very nice video! The educational part is just as important as the find. Thanks for teaching us! Rk.
Going back this Thursday will be spending the whole day detecting, unlike this video where I only spent about 2 hours. Good things to come RK!
@Greysen_Reimer good luck to you! I enjoy your show. Rk.
You make great videos! Very interesting, your channel will be huge!
Thanks, Great things to come in the future my friend stay tuned!
Awesome
Is the knife handle wooden, or bone?
Bone
Simply amazing. Great hole
The rivet on the side says it's not a saw sorry
Not a rivet, is a nail. Was wrong about it being a river in the video.
I don't think that's a saw blade it's a trammel to hang a pot over a fire
I’m split, have been told it’s a trammel from a few other sources as well. Could also see it being a saw for ice or bone. It’s a mystery only time will tell.
Ox shoes wagon parts and Henry rifle shell. Someone was definitely there one hundred fifty years ago
Agreed!
I found an old trade axe in lake county a few years ago. It has jesowit crosses stamped all over it
Very cool, only have found two. Rare finds
Great stuff!! Love this period of time.
At the end youhave stove parts, the first is a decorative rim for around the stove andthe last piece was probably a handle for lifting stove lids.
Thank you much!
Hey Greysen, I love that you have so much love in history I also have learned to love history after being drawn to gold hunting.. My biggest find was a gold round crucible, 8lb Gold, I found in a historical place with a stamp of "Wells fargo 1879" I see you use ground detectors, yet this is not what I found my find with. I used what is called a "Long Range electroscope." It is with this detector that I have found my best finds. The one thing that really has pissed me off is the lack of attention our government has on historical properties. Even if they have been removed long ago, we should still have documents that allow us to map what use to be at these sights... It saddens me that they are forgotten!!!
I appreciate your support, you touched on many topics. Would love to know more about you finding gold, been wanting to try it my self. Was sent some really nice gold prospecting gear recently. Maybe you could help me out, I’m in Wisconsin, I’m sure your not, by the sounds of your story. Very cool either way. And yes saddens me also when sites are destroyed, that one thing I like about recording my hunts is that I can come back years later and know where I found everything by watching back my videos. It documents it self. I’ve also been working with archeologists on a few of my sites, when I believe there’s any serious historic value especially when I come across burials of any kind. If you want @greysen Reimer on Facebook, would like to hear more about you gold finds! Even if you arnt located near me, might help me out in the future.
I really wanna get on the trade silver I’m close to the st croix river and apple rivers
Good luck.
How common is trade silver in Minnesota Wisconsin? Do I have a good chance at finding some again I keep second guessing myself because I’ve left so much good material behind
I’m finding musketballs, flintlock pieces, square nails, indianheads, copper buttons silver buttons, bone and possibly some good trade silver, also stone arrowheads, trade shells and beads and pottery and ceramics
MN is some of the best trade hunting in the world. For whatever reason there’s tons of trade sites where you are. Stay close to the river Chanel and you’ll find sites, can’t really give you a awnser about how common trade silver is, all depends on the site, if it’s native French or British how early or late it is all depends. If you get on a good Native American village site you’ll find the most jewelry, that doesn’t necessarily mean silver alot of it is made from kettle scrap. All depends. Keep me posted, send me your finds would love to see them.
Sounds like trade to me. @greysen Reimer add me on Facebook would like to see what your finding can tell ya for sure then.
Yeah it’s a native village site and trade site I’ve found a lot of silver jewelry around here but I thought it was junk. But now I’m getting way more educated I’ll never leave anything like that behind again, hard to refind if you know what I mean
I love the copper and kettle stuff too and the iron stuff and lead etc. I just noticed a lot of silver when I first started detecting
I found trade silver and thimbles but thought the trade silvers were just trash now I know how awesome they are
Hopefully you kept them, would be a shame if you threw them away.
I’m on a good site as of this year
Nice!
Hey buddy. That's not a bone knife! I don't know what you found. It's not for bones. I cut up deer, in Wisc. That tool has some other purpose. Not cutting bones, I say. Rjk.
Thanks for your insight RK, was getting worried about you. It’s been a while sense you’ve reached out, hope you like the recent videos. Have been doing some new things. Thanks again. Greysen Reimer
I've a site that was a French trading post back in 1678 , lots of gun flints, and a few coins. But just got me a metal detector!! Going back out!!
If you need some help with the site let me know, add me on Facebook@Greysen Reimer- would be interested to see what else you find
Just subscribe to your channel IDo that to hunt its great can't wait to see your next video Be safe have fun
Be safe 🙏 you both have Fun
I appreciate it. Will try to be more safe, got poison Ivey real bad from this video, I never learn lol.
I can only imagine an early pioneer out in those woods trying to score a meal by using those two muskrat spears & missed. They went to try & recover them but couldn't find them due to the brush & had to leave them behind. That's probably why there were two laying next to each other. Cool video & content. I'm subscribing! Cheers from central Virginia!
Don’t know how many times I’ve made up story’s for my finds like you are doing right now. Wonder how many of them are particularly true. Thanks for your support. Good thing are to come.
Id really like to see you do the electrolysis and maybe explain how your doing it because id like to know i also wanna see the peices all cleaned up.
Was planning on doing a video of explaining electrolysis this winter, not the first person to ask me to do it sooner. Might have to. I post my finds cleaned up on my Facebook page. Check it out.
Love your channel man such a great hobby
let's go let's go treasure and adventure ✌👵
Awesome vid… More sifting content pls!
Will do, might be a few month though. Got to wait for the poison Ivey to die off in the fall, learned my lesson this week.
So glad to see younger people embrace who was here before modern America was established and what it took to survive. Cool to see what screening uncovers what the detector won’t. How do you tell where the flint locks originated?
Nice haul sifting is essential! Friends in Florida periodically go out to specific 1715 Plata Fleet wreck beaches during storms..to sift the 'heavies' rows. Lots of emerald & aqua treasure stones being found!
Very cool, would be fun to do some day.
Interesting finds..live digs the best
Nice haul 👍
Any more information on the pipe stems. French, American, British? That’s quite a high density of them in a small area. I’m sure a lot of tobacco was traded at that post.
I believe British by the style, not a early enough style to be French. French would be much earlier pre 1780.
Good stuff, Greyson!
Thanks ry
I wanted to hear what the token said, but thr sound was off.
Grand Rapids Michigan i believe, sorry about the sound, my music got copy righted.
Our bank when I was a child was Peoples State Bank…in East Tawas, Michigan.
Belle immagini dettagliate nella storia, complimenti.
What coil did you get?
The 15 double-D it’s just a bigger version of the normal size coil
Baby deer wanted to detect wih you. Couldnt find mom... nice finds. Nice variety
Thanks Jared, took me a while to edit the deer ✍️
SUBBED! nice channel.

Thanks for the info Garry.
You shld hit the rivers up in front of them sites.. good saves
Already did this week, didn’t find anything. Good thinking I had same idea.
