I have been watching artifact hunting on KZread for several years now. Your channel has progressed to one of my favorite places to stop by and see what else you’ve found lately… From your personal delivery, thorough knowledge on the objects you are plucking from the ground and your video and audio techniques, your channel has become one of my favorite places to visit. Keep up the good work.

Nice channel and content, I recognize the background music from our favorite channel. We find a lot of similar items minus the muskrat spears but definitely not on fur trade sites like you are. Great job with your research and educating yourself on the fur trade. Look forward to your future content, good luck and Happy Hunting from Jim and Mason out of New Hampshire USA.

I can only imagine an early pioneer out in those woods trying to score a meal by using those two muskrat spears & missed. They went to try & recover them but couldn't find them due to the brush & had to leave them behind. That's probably why there were two laying next to each other. Cool video & content. I'm subscribing! Cheers from central Virginia!

Don’t know how many times I’ve made up story’s for my finds like you are doing right now. Wonder how many of them are particularly true. Thanks for your support. Good thing are to come.

I enjoyed the video but I would like to offer some constructive criticism. I would recommend you do less talking and focus more on the finds as such. You tend to repeat yourself a lot. I realize that you are new to this so I know that eventually you'll get the hang of it. I subscribed and I am looking forward to seeing more of your videos. Keep up the good work.

That small piece of copper could be off a rattail copper point. I have a rattail copper point I found. Looks like it. My rat was found in Waukesha Co. Rk.

It may be possible that the small copper piece was part of an Indian necklace or decoration on clothing?

  • @Greysen_Reimer

Would have to be very deteriorated, in my opinion was either a copper pounding produced in the copper pounding process. Or a small awll that the ends deteriorated over time. Either way it’s weathered. Either way It is a good to know that there is OCC in the ground!

Greyson... a pet peeve of mine is "gold gilt". Gilt/gilding... that IS gold, and only gold. There is no need to say both words. Just gilt is sufficient. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gilding Now that I have that off my chest (LOL!)... I am so envious of your sites! I'm across your western border and while I've tried to find a couple of trapper's sites in my 8 years of detecting, I have not found anything that I can say for sure is from them. (I'd have better luck if I were further north, for sure)

  • @Greysen_Reimer

That’s for the info on the gilt… lol. I will have to do some research on that. I appreciate it, takes many of hours to find a trade or OCC site, it’s even more difficult to get the finds on video with the excitement! If you ever question any of your finds or sites on weather there trade or not feel free to send them to me on Facebook for my opinion. Thanks again
