Went to the Jacksonville screening. Theater was fully packed and every single person was captivated from beginning to end. Absolutely brilliant film that’s so moving on a profound level. So glad you were able to bring my favorite movie to a theater near me :) I really resonated with the message you added before the film started. I’m a musician so I can sort of relate to that feeing of constantly focusing on the perceived flaws of your creative output, while others may praise it as a masterpiece. It can be difficult to trust what other people may say because all you see are all the little things you wish you could go back and change. But the way I see it, people fell in love with what you created for what it is. It wouldn’t be the same if it were any different (I know that sounds stupid and obvious but hopefully I’m getting my point across). Gushing aside, it was really interesting to see the behind the scenes production of the movie. All the intricate math and planning that must have gone into each scene is really impressive and results in an extremely unique style

Was on a 1st date today and he said he was going to stop and get a banana. Of course I had to say "I am a bananaaaaa" in that silly voice. He had not seen this, luckily he laughed...but 20 years later and this vid is still impacting my life 😅💯❤️

The first Don Hertzfeldt animation I watched was Rejected something like twenty years ago. I had since watched that animation at least a hundred times. The quirky dark humor in Rejected provided quotes that I managed to regularly recite. I didn't even know that Don had a youtube channel, and now I stumble across this masterpiece. I'm pretty sure I can now die happy and begin envying the living. <3 <3 <3
