  Maybe the fisherman don't know if Dratini/Dragonair/Dragonite exist because Lance's team is all hacked because of the early level evolutions. Therefore, NPC's cannot see them.

  I think a lot of the confusion surrounding the Speed stat is due to wording. It probably would've been more accurate to name it Dexterity than Speed. For example, in DnD, iniative, which is your turn order, is determined using your Dex modifier, however, your movement speed is a completely separate stat from Dex. So, with this explanation, you can understand there being Pokemon that are said to be wicked fast, but have a low speed stat. And it makes sense, even if you're as fast as sound, if your reaction speed is ass, you're probably gonna go after your opponent, unless their reaction speed is also ass.

  I saw a meme about the lapras extinction thing, someone posted “As a kid, I continuously breed, hatched and released Lapras because I read in a dex entry that they were going extinct” and then it shows the Pokémon moon dex entry saying they were saved, and then someone put that clip from Jurassic park that said “You did it, you crazy son of a b*tch you did it”

  14:19 Doduo most likely has wings. If you look at skeletons of kiwis (real world, flightles birds with a similar beak), you'll have a hard time to find the wings (because they are VERY small), but they are existent. (you will have an even harder time to find those wings on a picture of a living bird though)

  2:35 the arbok pattern variations are elaborated on in the Yellow Arc of the Pokemon adventures Manga. Agatha (who is a villain along with the rest of the elite 4) has multiple arboxs with a variety of patters resembling different facial experessions that were way different than arboks in game art in later games. Each also had different strengths and weaknesses. Maybe they intended on giving it multiple forms at some point.

  To be completely fair with Dratini’s entry, it says Dratini was believed to be mythical, not its evolutions. It’s possible it was a Pichu situation, where people just knew about Dragonair and Dragonite, but not their baby form.

  Regarding Alakazam - IQ (tests) does seem to sometimes infact include memorizing stuff...It's weird and also frankly neither are actually completely equal to intelligence in the first place. Not even when combined. (But that's kinda just how it is often seen or interpreted as)

  as Brazilian fan, I'm still salty we got Paldea, a region inspired by the Iberian peninsula, and we didn't get a Portuguese translation with it. yeah, Spain is bigger than Portugal, but who cares????
