Yeah it was defo an issue with that sensor change the coolant sensor and you’ll be good 😊
@@restoringsalvage nice one thanks
Great job 💯
Thank you 🙏
Hi mate I have recently bought a car from Copart and it’s delivered at my door, the thing I’m confused is how should I obtain V5C logbook kindly guide me. Much appreciated
You need to go to the post office and get a v62 form and fill it out then send it too the dvla
As we see, removing the drain cap on the oil filter housing is hardly worth the trouble. If you do, be sure to fit the new O-ring that comes with the new filter. And of course fit the new O-ring to the filter housing, and don't try to overtighten it. Finally, I sure hope the car was back on the ground when you checked the oil level!
If that doesn't work, try doing the same thing to the springs above the pedal.
brilliant, my yaris 09 has a juddering/hesitation at 30-40 mph. I have tried cleaning the maf sensor and replaced the spark plugs and still happening. Any ideas?
Could be the coil packs or if it has a turbo could be that but honestly could be a list of things try connect a OBD reader too it see if it tells you anything!
Can you help me I can’t find the cabin filter I’ve got Clio campus 2007 1.2 16v
It should be under the passenger side glove box I believe!
@@restoringsalvage thank you and how do I get the box off as it’s attached to my dash board 😂
There should be some screws holding it in place or you can maybe go from under neath the glove box!
Does it work on 2011 Suzuki swift?
Should do!
Hey Pal did that product stop the noisy engine?
It did help but been told these are just noisy engines!
No freaking way you didn't show how you pulled out that gearbox, ffs.
I show you how to unbolt the gearbox, then you just pull it out. I got my mate to help lay under and drop it onto us!
Well done mate. Cap off to you , doing most of the work one handed. This really helped 👍👌
Thank you! 🙏
Great content as always!
Thanks 🙏
Good video!
Thanks 🙏
The cabin filter is a bitch
This car has to be a right of
She is all up and running like new!
When someone does it all with one hand on his driveway in the rain by himself with basic tools, makes you wonder why anyone should pay a main dealer the equivalent of Nigeria’s deficit to have their car serviced…
Yeah exactly mate you can save a lot of money and learn a new skill it’s a win win!
The 250 and 125 bottom end look yhe same i wonder if they would fit frame ?
I’m pretty sure it’s the same frame?
Great content 😊
Thank you 😁
What’s the R on windscreen mean in Chaulk pen
It means it “runs”
Decide your max price, and STICK TO IT.......... Don't forget to factor in all the extra hidden costs. More often than not, I see cars sell for way too much, and you may aswell just buy a straight one....
Exactly that mate I probs paid a little too much for that but I still made over a grand!
I have got the same Peugeot as the one on the video, my clutch is really really high, changing the clutch would help with that?
Yes absolutely I would also change the flywheel I should have done that as well!
Thanks for the tip mate, I’ll make sure to change it next oil service!
Guys, I think that my seatbelt sensor is disconected cuz the chimp isn't on, but on LED test all good, so where I can find the sensor to plug in?
Take the covers off the seatbelts so you can see the mechanism that operates the seat belt and there should be a little yellow switch!
@@restoringsalvage I'll check this right away
@@restoringsalvage Under the seats I found cables with plugs, but on ford forum they say they are only pretensioners. Thanks you anyway, man.
@@dzoole No thats not the ones its inside the seat belt panel on the b pillar hope that help
@@restoringsalvage Yep, those under the seats are pretensioners, and I found out that Europe version don't have seatbelts sensors, only for japanese market, but it's not for sure, cuz they can be installed with FORscan.
My peugeot 308 squeeze only in warm weather. I mean only in afternoon but not morning.
That’s a strange one!
Things expand when warm, checks out when it only squeeks warm. Lubrication also gets less viscious/thick, could also be the cause.
How much does delivery usually cost the estimator on the website shows me a error?
It depends on location mate usually about £2 a mile
Any tips on removing the airbox? I'm having difficulties wiggling it out despite removing everything off of it
Just make sure everything is disconnected and give it a good pull aha
Nice video mate, Ive never done one but im so tempted to just brave it, how long did this take? I just need to order loads of extensions bars by the looks of it
It tuck a good part of the day like, I would just allow a day or two take your time with it and definitely get lots of extensions lol
Thanks buddy. :)
No worries happy to help!
Great result. Was the bumper a brand new pattern part? Any idea how much your paint shop charged you for painting it?
It was insurance approved bumper and I think it was £200!
@@restoringsalvage thanks for taking the time to respond - much appreciated. It would be good if you did a full and comprehensive cost breakdown at the end like Salvage Rebuild UK do - saying where you got parts and how much. I’d say it would enhance the channel greatly. Keep up the good and entertaining work 👍
@@mrjones9915 yeah I would like to do this, defo will try implementing it in newer videos!
Hey man, really helpful video. One question though how did you drop the gearbox and housing? did you strap it to a jack or did you have a proper trans jack? ta!
@tuna855 I just dropped it on myself lol and then struggled to pop it back in, best having a jack will make it easier!
@@restoringsalvageThanks for answering another quick question how did you get the drive shaft out of the gearbox? I don't seem to be able to move it out far enough to pop out
@@TheHoff2324 Im not sure at what stage you are at but assuming that one end of the driveshaft is already removed from the knuckle just get a pry bar on the gear box side and it should pop right out!
@@restoringsalvageUnfortunately I don't seem to be able to get either side out, what did you remove on the suspension to give you enough wiggle room?
I had one recently kept it for six months to use myself, you will like the test drive! very rapid car that handles amazing
Yeah it was great car to drive, I might have to keep it for a little bit lol
thanks man, my mate's car needed this so bad
No worries happy to help!
Nice perfect now i can try and change on my Renault
Happy days!
this video came in handy as a point of reference for my build, thanks for the breakdown on this one mate. I knew subbing you would come in handy. That 10m bolt behind the wing is a nightmare how did you stop it from catch from the door
I’m glad it helped mate, also I remember the bolt behind the wing being difficult I think we tucked it out last and my mate was holding the wing in strange angles so we could manipulate it out!
Thanks mate
No problem!
I had mine 1.4 tdci also second hand and I want to try to chsnge these filters, but you confused me, cuz youbare UK and it's different in mine car for the cabin filter
The cabin filter will just be on the opposite side in your vehicle!
@@restoringsalvage Actually it was on the same site, but in my case I had to remove the accelerator pedal to get to the cabin filter.
It's a intercooler pipe mate and it's normal to get abit of oil in it
That’s alright then thought it was 🙏
You need the black plastic that holds the front number plate on.
Oh that makes sense lol
Great video , how many hours would you say this took on the drive? ..... Any difficult parts?
It was at least 6 hours, but I think we could do it a lot quicker now, as it was are first time lol and getting the gear box out and back in ones all the bolts and drive shafts are out it quite difficult!
Could be done in a day then with an early start 👍
@@justfun3482Absolutely!
What are the specs for the windshield wipers ( all the millimeters of lenght and width)
Just google it or go on Halfords website they will tell you!
Do not use WD-40 normal as a lube. They sell many actual lubes.
Its defo better to use a dedicated lube, but I know many people would not have that to hand!
Wd-40 is petroleum and paraffin based I wouldn’t recommend it for the seals inside that master cylinder, it may shorten its life. These things fail instantly once the seals go. Brake fluid or Red Rubber Grease is a better alternative, even gt85 has hydrocarbon based solvents that can damage seals.
@@ratchetclan3What about some grease?
Thanks so much friend for your presentation. You really made this project look very simple for guys like me who have limited part changing experience. I have a 2015 Smart Brabus 1ltr gas turbo with about 47k. Just love the little guy. There's no quit with these Smarties! 😅 Thanks again!
Happy to help! And there great little motors!
hi, I won a car 'on approval' today and I cant find the car anywhere under lots won, open or lost. Where would you say its gone?
They most likely have decided not to give it to you!
Thanks for the video! Just a quick question… what does it mean when there’s C next to the lot number on the windscreen? I believe it means copart owns the car but how and why would they own the car? Would you recommend buying or stick to insurance write off?
Honestly, it’s all about doing the research and figuring out the issues as best as you can, before buying it but I mainly stick to cat N vehicles!
What tools did you use for this oil service change? What numbers of bits? Thanks
Can’t remember sorry, you can buy a kit with most tools in online!
What oil did you put back into the gearbox and how much of it
Can’t remember what oil just google it, was 2 litres!
Hey bro, can you please have a look at this video of my 2014 BMW X1 diesel 18D Xline that cranks no start fault. I'll appreciate your advise, cheers. I put details in the description kzread.info/dash/bejne/Y4pkxc6xfZrOos4.html
Amazing video!
Thanks 🙏
Really useful video. Thanks!
Happy to help!
