Great work guys, timing chains are famous on the N47 for making noise, bought a 118d 2010 cheap a couple of years ago with a rattling chain and had the work done with new clutch etc, I've been through all the common issues and wear items on mine nearly now, including all shocks, (managed to get Sachs cheap), cracked rocker cover, disks and pads all round (Brembo and Bosch, again not to expensive), the rock hard breather pipe to the rocker cover that always splits, DPF Clean and swelling reluctor rings on the drive shafts that worn through an ABS sensor. Drives great even though its nearly on 177k! Trouble is the eml is coming on intermittently for no loss of power but annoying, its never ending with old cars lol

That’s great, also eml could be turbo actuator just had similar issue on another car with eml light coming on, but no actually issue appearing!

Yeah I really should have put one under, but on the 1 series, it’s cover up all underneath and can be quite difficult! So I just didn’t stay under there for too long!

I’m not trying to teach you to suck eggs but too long could be just half a second if that jack fails. I get it, sometimes you just think it’s fine, but please be safe, I enjoy your content.
