I host my server for my friends and I so we DC if we drive too fast so we all got slow driver which lets us drive at full speed without worry of crashing. Wish it was worth more points lol

So about the infinite tracking that the mod implements, why would that be considered a "fix" to the game? Personally I think that's a huge gameplay mechanic and not everyone would want zombies trackign them from Muldraugh to West point, especially on high population servers

The zombies don't infinitely track you. The mod stops the client from deleting zombies that have walked too far. Without the mod you cannot kite zombies more than a few screens before they are deleted in multiplayer.

All this crafting and cooperative play stuff is nice. But I play solo, and so do many if not most of the players. With no NPCs I hope there will be a way to make solo play still accessible

Problems with spears: Incredibly low durability. You need high skills to make them even remotely usable. You can't just craft more in combat and you can only carry so many at once Incredibly slow leveling. Getting high skills in spear takes longer than most people will actually play the game Combined, those two downsides make spears basically worthless, especially when something like an axe is usable from day 1. Spears are the last resort weapon of the desperate and will not carry you through the game. I don't think people understand just how INCREDIBLY slow weapons and maintenance level up. In all my time playing, I have never leveled a melee weapon past 6, and that's WITH starting trait points in that weapon multiplying the experience gain by up to 5x. Getting spears to a viable level will NEVER happen in a normal play-through.

The way I have been handling it is by taking day-naps before leaving base. 2-3 hours of sleep before leaving to reduce/reset your fatigue bar.

You should try sometime? My guy I only play with deaf. I have quite literally never played a character that can hear before. I pretty much constantly spin around when movinf from place to place and usually grab as many vision traits as possible. Also only engage in areas were a zombie cant get behind me. Honestly it likes being a living radar.

The problem is they attack player made walls, but they dont do the same to prebuilt buildings.

I am the opposite of you on Clumsy and Smoker traits. I really love clumsy along with conspicuous, basically making my character as noisy as possible because I like to clear the entire area of zombies and rarely play stealth. And in my 1800+ hours in Zomboid, I never come into any situation where I need to run/sprint into fences to avoid zombies. Simply loop them around, and put enough distance from them, then just press E to comfortably vault the fences. And I hate Smoker because I don't really like micromanaging things. That's why I also like to pick Light-eater in my playthrough so I don't really have to manage the hungry moodle too much.

The idea of a massive forest with no guns and just weapon smithing sounds fun. Could make a fun medieval version of the game

If you play with sprinters, then yeah clumsy is F tier. But if you play with fast shamblers only, clumsy is free points that I really love along with conspicuous, I rarely play stealth and I love clearing the entire area, so that extra noise helps me to aggro zombies. I've got 1800+ hours in this game and I never got into any situation where I need to run/sprint into fences. Simply put enough distances from the zombies and press E to vault fences comfortably.

The only reason I take deaf is because for some absolute reason my game just has no volume and I really don't know how to fix it even till now so I just take deaf for free points

Would the veteran's 50% increased chance to forage ammunition and other general bonuses to foraging balance it out? On the wiki it states towns and trailer parks have a weighting of "2" for finding ammo, not sure what that means for foraging it on a veteran.

No, it increases the distance veterans see ammo spawns from when foraging. It doesn't increase the amount that spawns.

The big issue here is that "builder" players and "minmaxing" players are usually the opposite Its like asking creative mode minecraft players to speedrun the game, kind of (the more a player is drawn to making and decorating a pretty base the least they are probably interest in mechanically "beating" the game and spending time learning how to do that) So basically this is a huge flaw in PZ's design

Dear everyone for the lock picking and door breaking just use the "common Sense mod" it adds all that to the game and a bunch of other things that are "common sense" for a survival game (I'm not being funny or trolling I'm being so serious it's by a guy named bevean or something like that he makes hella good mods too)

You have to sprint, which is different from running. Default keybind is left alt. It's still kinda buggy so I'd avoid doing it.
