I don't like bulky and relatively heavy lenses on my minuscule XT-30; the 56mm f1,2R is the only ecxeption. Loved it at first sight.

@@anbar5675 Same here! I like small and light! The X-T1 with the 16mm 2.8 is a great example of a setup I have that you barely notice when in hand. It’s almost like there’s no lens on it it’s so light. Haha. The 56 definitely adds some weight to the front, but doesn’t feel too unbalanced, especially if you have a thumb-grip in the hot shoe.

I am now considering using Fuji medium format digital photographic equipment. I found your video very useful in my decision making.

I bought my XT1 in 2018 and I love everything about it. I have recently added a few of the old lenses, the 18-55, the 35 f.1;4 , the 60 macro and even though they all have their fair share of criticism, I love them and they produce great photos. Especially the kit zoom 18-55 makes a big difference because of the image stabilizer. I have to say that the camera is Ten years old at this point, and it’s starting to show, so I’m planning to upgrade. Probably to an XT5 even though I don’t need 40 megapixels. But the Ibis and the big battery and the autofocus, yes please. Great video. ❤❤❤

So another year has gone by and I'm still using and loving my X-100t. I'm just putting my family photos from 2023 together in the form of a Blurb magazine (which I've done for many years now and believe it"s the best thing we can do with them) and gusss what- all of them I shot with the x-100t again! Ever since I got it some 3 or 4 years ago I have used nothing else to record our family life. That camera is just made for that and it works year after year. It imposes a certain look to the photos that I just love and I also love the camera. It' s beautiful, it' s small so I can take it with me all the time and it has the perfect lens that can do everything I need. I often think of adding another Fuji camera for fun and to add something different but, frankly, I don't need it. The x-100t does all I need so well! I do not have any connection to my Canon cameras that I use proffessionally but I do for this one! ❤ Highly recomended!

Enjoyed this video as well. Just found your channel. I also realize this was done three years ago. The combination I would recommend for you is the 16 mm F2 .8 and the new 18 mm F1.4, which gets you a slightly wider angle, super, super sharp and super fast focusing. Enjoyed also hearing how you do your interior photography. I also use the 10-24 but I do a three shot bracket going two stops in each direction and then combine them in Lightroom and this way I actually get detail outside through the window, as well as getting a perfectly exposed interior. New subscriber.

My first Fuji camera was the XT1 and I got amazing images out of it. But the one thing that drove me nuts was moving the focus cursor around. To get from the center to a focus point with the “rule of thirds” requires you to make two moves for every diagonal movement. Personally, I found the joystick on the XT2 to be game changing and I still shoot professionally with two of these even though I just recently also bought the XH2. It also has 50% more megapixels, the vertical tilt screen, that locking and unlocking knobs on the ISO and shutter dials is easier, a better viewfinder, and faster focusing. Maybe I’m missing something but I really didn’t see a big difference in image quality between the XT1 and 2, but I’m happy that you do. But I also have an Xpro2 and my wife has an X100 F, and it’s nice having three different cameras all with the same image sensor for post processing. The new XH2 has an amazingly, sharp viewfinder, and I’m enjoying the 40 megapixels, but the older cameras I still use and won’t sell.

Really enjoyed this review as well as your images. I own 10 Fuji lenses and I just picked up this lens a week ago and I absolutely love it. I have what I call my “professional lenses”, the F2.8 zooms as well as a few F1 .4 and 1.2 primes. The lens I bought before this was the new 18 mm F1 .4 lens which is amazingly sharp but for my “ travel lenses” it’s just a bit big. I had the 23 mm F1 .4 which I sold because I never felt like it was super sharp but then thought of getting the 23 mm F2 and I’ve been looking for literally two or three months at prices but then someone had the 16 mm F2.8 for €230, or $248 in perfect condition so I snatched it up. It’s a wonderful focal length! I actually think it’s better than what you get with a 23 mm. It’s very interesting as you look at the most popular camera of all time, the iPhone, and when it first came out the standard lens was a 35 mm equivalent, then they went to 33 mm equivalent, then 28 mm, then 26 mm, And the latest 15 series is a 24 mm equivalent. I think that says something. My X-Pro2 with the 16 mm F2.8 looks like a Leica, but much less expensive and amazing image quality and super fast focusing. LOVE IT!

If I remember correctly, until X-T1, Fujifilm sold less than total of 100K X cameras. Yes, all across the board. But with the X-T1 it really did hit the nail on the head, course people pre-ordered that camera like crazy, even before it hit the shelfs. So yes, I agree, X-T1 did create the X line of cameras as we have it today...

I use an XT1, and get 9 brackets! But it's fiddly : set up auto brackets with 1 stop difference between the 3. Then turn the exposure comp dial all the way to +3 and take the first 3, do the next 3 at 0 on the exposure comp dial, and the final 3 at -3, giving you a big range of 9 brackets for HDR. Tripod is a must as you have to diddle the dial in-between. I will get an XT2 though, to speed up this slow technique, but the XT1 has got me started in real estate photography.

I learned a lot with the X-T1. I found a deal that i couldn't pass up on an X-T4 with the 18-55mm F2.8-4, 35mm F1.4, 16mm F2.8, and 3 batteries for roughly the same price as a new X-T5 body over the weekend. Those were 3 lenses that i was already planning to get, too, and I was very close to pulling the trigger on an X-T5 as well. I volunteered myself to photoshoot my friend's family easter the day after i picked up the X-T4 and it went so well especially with burst shots. Battery life was also so much better and it only dropped to half. I even took shots later in the evening at my brother's place for Easter dinner of his little girl and still didnt need to change the battery. I would have never volunteered with the X-T1 with all those kids running around and I would have needed to swap out the battery at least once. I'll miss the X-T1 but sadly I have to let it go to a better home. I would keep it but I know that I won't use it as much anymore. I'm starting to enjoy a new side of being a bit more fast paced to see if i like doing events. There are so many positives on the X-T4 over the X-T1 for me; battery life, autofocus, dual card slots, the buffer, and I can start dabbling with 4K shooting.

~ DITTO‼️ I can, and have, owned & shot with other more modern, expensive, “advanced” Fujifilm cameras in the past, & wound up with my favorite pair, an X-T1 (in that nifty gun metal option they offered on this model) & an X-E2 (same Trans2 generation innards as the X-T1). As an old school shooter (half of my shooting is done with vintage manual lenses) who doesn’t give a hoot about video or sports/action photography, I’m not sacrificing much of anything by not having the latest/greatest, but I would be sacrificing the use of my favorite sensor if I traded “up” from the Trans2. Besides that, I like the way the X-T1 sits &weighs in my hand more so than the overblown later examples

it would be interesting if moving the camera and tripod slightly so that the front of the lens are in exactly the same position and not that camera would make much of a difference in field of view.
