I make videos for fun. My videos are about solving classical sudokus without the use of pencil marks or notation. Most of the videos will be directed at beginner to intermediate solvers who want to challenge themselves.

Too bad! But we must all make our choices. Good luck and success with your next endeavours, whatever they may be!
When you didn’t immediately place the 2 in block 6, said is a function of your power of concentration along a given path! You see clear lines to a solve - one can only admire your cognition. I shall not forget your warm voice and passionate intellect! Wishing you the best of good health snd happiness, David
The 345 analysis in R4 was clever and opened up a difficult solve! Congratulations and good health in all future endeavors! 💕
Thank you!
Ah, what a pity you are retiring from Sudoku videos. Perhaps you might have found hand crafted puzzles less predictable, but I have not idea where you get those from. Bye, bye!
Skipped ahead to see if youve used candidate markers. None were used. The whole time i was thinking when were you going to put it down...as it makes remembering and completing the puzzle much easier.
Pencil marks certainly makes it easier, but the point of my channel is to show that brainpower and logic alone usually suffice
@NMalteC that works for easy and mid level, but for harder puzzles, you can't solve without marking down candidates. I came to see how I can use more advance tactics to solve harder puzzles as I can already do ez to mid.
I've said in numerous videos that I use pencil marks when necessary. The NYT hard puzzles never required me to do that
The 257 combinations in R1 unearthed the 7 atop C2! Many digits surfaced soon after and the solve was quickly established! Wishing you good health and peace! 💕
The 49 pairs in R4 were a clever find with 5s in blocks 4 and 7 revealed! The 1 in C7 followed and a relatively difficult solve was on its way to “fruition” as it were! I shall miss your graceful greetings - lots of happiness in your many endeavors! 💕
I am sad to see you go, Niels. I enjoyed watching you solve with no marking. I wish you the best.
Thank you 🙏
The 68 and 12 pairs in C4 and R4 respectively led to the 5 and 6 in block 5! The solve thence commenced with relative ease! Always wishing you abundant good health!
Sudoku exchange says this doesn't have a unique solution, FYI.
I kmow4, it sometimes happens, their algorithm isn't bulletproof
I do miss the warm interactions that greeted each day! Enjoy a special weekend! 💕
So do I, but alas
Well suited for a non-expert expert like me :)
Ah, could not see that 49 pair... this was a bust.
... (5,4)=2 (4,5)=4 (5,5)=6; tercia (5,8,9) en 5a fila ent (5,2)=9 (6,7)=9; cuat (2,3,6,8) en 4a fila; pares (2,7) y (8,9) en 3a col; par (1,4) en 2a fila y tercia (2,6,7) en 3a fila dentro del Sector 1 ent (3,9)=4; único lugar (2,9)=8 (2,3)=9 (1,3)=8 (4,7)=8 (4,1)=6...
Thank you sir for assisting to raise my sudoku skills and logical thinking. Have looked forward daily to this fun and challenging exercise, then learning what to do when one gets stuck. Please be careful on your bike.
I'm one of your silent subscriber, so I'm sorry for not telling you sooner how much your daily NYT Sudoku videos meant to me. In fact, meant to me and bother, as we both do NYT medium and hard sudokus daily, and regarded your videos as a par time we compared ours to. I've learned a lot from your videos, my brother even started solving without notations just like you do, which still looks like an unbelievable achievement to me. I very very rarely could compete with your time using notations, but when I did, and I know it's silly, it always made my day a bit better, put a smile on my face. You know, a silly kind of an achievement. Your videos were something constant in my life ever since I've found your channel, therefore I'm sorry to see you go, but understand your reasoning. Thanks for everything, and wishing you all the best. Your two Hungarian fans. :)
Thank you so much 🙏🙏
Real shame, you going
Many Blessings for your future. I will try to remember all the techniques you taught us all.😢
Ohhhh Noooooooo! I am devastated that you are leaving! Learning your no notation technique has made sudoku so much more enjoyable. Thank you for your efforts. Best of luck to you in whatever you do and a very safe motorcycle journey! Maybe we will meet again some day in cyberspace and I certainly hope so!
Thank you 🙏
That's enough Sudoku for now. Really, my heart isn't in it today. I'm on autopilot, just pointing at the horizon (52 = row 5 column 2): 52, 86, 78, 25, 11, 62, 56, 96, 55, 59, 58, 38, 21, 13, 29, 88, 71, 39, 24, 35, 14, 27, 33, 31, 22, 92, 89, 19, 45, 68, 97, 72, 87, 18, 17, 69, 48, 42, 66, 46, 41, 43, 81, 91, 79, 99, 75, 83, 95, 73, 84, 74, 85, 64, 44, 63, 61.
Your videos are a real task for me. Not boring at all. I can tell it gives me peace hearing your voice. You are a good teacher. Too smart to me! Hope The best for you. Will be waiting for your next upload. Gracias mil.
This had a rather tricky step, which I imagine you resolved faster and more efficiently than I did. I have yet to watch some of these last videos. Plenty of time to do so. A sad day (26 = row 2 column 6): 26, 74, 69, 28, 39, 77, 11, 88, 47 (hidden single, owing to hidden quads in row; not easy to spot), 53, 82, 79, 99, 87, 67, 57, 33, 36, 32, 61, 48, 58, 68, 16, 27, 17, 14, 24, 44, 42, 42, 62, 51, 65, 49, 59, 96, 73, 12, 71, 23, 13, 25, 15, 22, 21, 92, 86, 85, 46, 94, 56, 75, 81, 91, 45, 54.
Philip will miss your dayly contribution. Thanks a lot.
I liked this one. It unfolded very neatly. I'm not sure whether I saw the early trick, but I certainly noticed a UR a bit later. Here, though, is my path without it (67 = row 6 column 7): 67, 38, 59, 48, 68, 49, 88, 89, 28, 29, 27 (UR available at this point), 45, 15, 87, 33, 24, 76, 91, 99, 53, 83, 63, 34, 74, 75, 36, 35, 66, 16, 14, 56, 95, 94, 65, 54, 44, 42, 41, 82, 79, 77, 19, 17, 81, 12, 11, 72, 71, 32, 31, 52, 51, 22, 21, 62, 61.
Ditto, Malte, to what all of your other fans have said. I admire you for moving on to bigger and better things, although I could argue that Sudoku is plenty big.
Thanks so much
Thanks for your inspiring work. Best wishes.
Thank you
i will miss you so much - i did this every day with you ... thank you for all the time you put in and happy travels !
Thank you 🙏
Niels, you will be missed ! You had become such an integral part of my daily routine... Thanks for everything.
I appreciate your valued support, Georges
Noooooo! To say I'm upset would be an understatement. You have been a much-loved part of my day almost every day for over a year. Without your special touch and insight, we will all be a little poorer. I wish you success and enjoyment with your other projects, and with your life in general. If you can bring yourself to return every so often with a Sudoku gem, or with some other endeavour that has enriched your week, I feel sure that many of us will be overjoyed. Arrivederci e buona fortuna!
Thank you for your support, Julian
Thank you and wish you all the best.
Thank you for the time and effort you have put into making these videos. You were a part of my morning routine and will be missed.
Very hard
Only been with you a short while but I've learnt so much. Thank you for you time. Your voice follows me to other puzzles. Best wishes for your future.
Thank you very much for all your uploads and all your solving. You need to look after yourself and your concerns but our lives will be all the poorer without your encouraging uploads. At least the NYT gave you a somewhat challenging solve for your last one....
You're right 👍
i am so sorry to see you leave. I cant tell you how much I looked forward to your puzzle solves every morning. Good luck. You will be missed.
Genial como siempre Malte.👍
We'll miss you - your voice, your solving style, your humor. Enjoy yourself and be well and happy always. Have a cup of virtual ☕ with me and hope you well
Thank you so much
I am a recently new subscriber, and very much enjoyed your broadcasts. I have learned new techniques from following your intelligent response to these puzzles . Hope everything is well with you. I personally use sudoku2 app, which I find very challenging.
Thank you 🙏
Good luck teacher a lot of thanks.
Thank you 🙏
From someone who is not very brainy, I will truly miss your solutions. Since finding your channel I have learned a lot on how to solve sudokus. I ask myself questions that you pose in the solutions process. I will truly miss your commentary (specially the Vietman stories). Wishing you all the best in your future endeavours.
Thank you so much
I will miss both your intellect and warmth! Analyzing your solutions was an absolute joy, a beautiful way to commence each day! Again, I shall miss your warm voice, personality and intellect! You are a special person! Let all good things come your way - you deserve the best!
Thank you kindly!
Very interesting and useful your puzzle solvations.
Enjoyed your solutions and style. Will miss you. Good luck.
I always enjoyed your clear and concise solutions of the puzzles every day. Thank you very much. You are a great teacher!
Thank you 🙏
Finding the 3 in C5 followed by a multitude of blocks throughout the grid successfully negotiated the solve! A good deal of “healthy” cognition unraveled this grid! Good luck with a busy day of planned activities!
Final?
Alas, yes
@@NMalteC I'm very sorry to see that - thank you very much for all your videos.
@@jerrycann9072 thank you 🙏
Hola Malte .
@Luis.A muchas muchas gracias Luis. Me encantaría reunirnos para jugar una partida de ajedrez algún día ♟️♟️♟️
I've been trying to work out what makes these puzzles so easy. This one, for instance, didn't look easy at the beginning, but then put up virtually no resistance. Did you really want to publish so many videos on the same night? I think there may have been a technical glitch. Anyway, this is my last one for tonight. I'll do the rest tomorrow, if they're still up (92 = row 9 column 2): 92, 23, 16, 66, 35, 11, 68, 37, 59, 38, 28, 71, 22, 29, 19, 89, 79, 86, 77, 85, 46, 75, 94, 96, 76, 34, 24, 25, 21, 65, 55, 63, 78, 17, 18, 67, 61, 32, 31, 33, 82, 81, 83, 51, 41, 53, 57, 58, 97, 98, 47, 48, 87, 54, 44, 52, 42.
Enjoyable puzzle, thanks.
I nearly missed this one. Not a bad puzzle at all. A well-hidden single slowed me down, but otherwise it had a natural flow. I liked the interplay between fours and fives (75 = row 7 column 5): 75, 73, 87, 65, 16, 71 (hidden pairs in box; one resolvable), 81, 97, 49, 98, 67, 52, 21, 42, 43, 62, 46, 58, 25 (that well-hidden single, owing to a pair in the row), 13, 54, 56, 55, 76, 96, 94, 26, 88, 89, 37, 48, 23, 61, 63, 31, 14, 29, 78, 22, 79, 77, 68, 39, 12, 93, 92, 33, 32, 17, 18, 47, 64, 45, 84, 85, 34, 35.
Just enter the 28,,lol
