After you have that ceremony, you are not allowed to go to funerals, it erases the ceremony that was done for you. That’s why traditional Navajos don’t attend funerals or go to cemeteries or touch deceased people’s property and some won’t hug the family members of the deceased. Can’t bury them in any red colors. Many don’t follow or refuse to understand what the old ones did. Grandparents would tell you not buy 2nd hand stuff or other people possessions bc “many white people sell their dead’s possessions”. If I remember correctly, they make tiny cuts at the openings of the clothing. No pregnant woman or children should be attending funerals bc “the dead will attach themselves to the young and innocent”

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but rather test the spirits to see which are of God, do not give your attention or worship or fear or love to any other than the Lord God Almighty, Creator of the Heavens and Earth, who so loved the whole world, that He gave His only Begotten Son, so that whosoever will believe, shall not die but shall have eternal life. There are many deceiving and seducing spirits, let no man deceive you and never pray or worship to creation, but to the Creator Himself, and accept salvation offered freely to you by Christ Jesus - for even if an angel of light shall come down and give you another doctrine or teach you another Jesus than the one that you have been told (in the scriptures), believe it not and marvel not after them, neither bow down to them, but let them be accursed. God bless you all, but the time is short, we must come out of this creation worship and ancestor worship - Worship the God of all Creation, for He is the God of the Living.

"Respect starts with ourselves. It would be hard to name a more certain sign of poor self-esteem than the need to perceive some other group as inferior. Self-esteem is not a luxury; it is a profound spiritual need. There is overwhelming evidence that the higher the level of self-esteem, the more likely one will be to treat others with respect, kindness, and generosity. Feel deeply to think clearly. How do we keep our inner fire alive? Two things, at minimum, are needed: an ability to appreciate the positives in our life - and a commitment to action. Every day, it's important to ask and answer these questions: ‘What's good in my life?’ and ‘What needs to be done? A productive purpose to which you give yourself fully and joyfully is one of the great adventures of life. It is a uniquely human source of happiness. To live consciously means to seek to be aware of everything that bears on our actions, purposes, values, and goals-to the best of our ability, whatever that ability may be-and to behave in accordance with that which we see and know. Integrity is congruence between what you know, what you profess, and what you do. To accept struggle as part of life, to accept all of it, even the darkest moments of anguish; to be motivated by love rather than fear, by confidence rather than insecurity: these are the benchmarks of high self-esteem. The wish to avoid fear and pain is not the motive that drives the lives of highly evolved men and women; rather, it is the life force within them, thrusting toward its unique form of expression-the actualization of personal values. The world belongs to those who persevere. Faith is the commitment of one's consciousness to beliefs for which one has no sensory evidence or rational proof. When man rejects reason as his standard of judgement, only one alternative standard remains to him: his feelings. A mystic is a man who treats his feelings as tools of cognition. Faith is the equation of feelings with knowledge Innovators and creators are persons who can to a higher degree than average accept the condition of aloneness. They are more willing to follow their own vision, even when it takes them far from the mainland of the human community. Unexplored places do not frighten them- or not, at any rate, as much as they frighten those around them. This is one of the secrets of their power. That which we call genius has a great deal to do with courage and daring, a great deal to do with nerve. Integrity is congruence between what you know, what you profess, and what you do." Nathaniel Branden "Integrity is not something that grownups have and adolescents can aspire to. Integrity is something that all of us, at all ages, are constantly striving for. Integrity means being whole, unbroken, undivided. It describes a person who has united the different parts of his or her personality, so there is no longer a split in the soul ... For the person of integrity, life may not be easy but it is simple: Figure out what is right and do it. All other considerations come in second. If you concentrate on finding whatever is good in every situation, you will discover that your life will suddenly be filled with gratitude, a feeling that nurtures the soul When you are kind to others, it not only changes you, it changes the world. We are here to change the world with small acts of thoughtfulness done daily rather than with one great breakthrough. When you carry out acts of kindness you get a wonderful feeling inside. It is as though something inside your body responds and says, yes, this is how I ought to feel. Do things for people not because of who they are or what they do in return, but because of who you are. The purpose in life is not to win. The purpose in life is to grow and to share. "When you come to look back on all that you have done in life, you will get more satisfaction from the pleasure you have brought into other people's lives than you will from the times that you outdid and defeated them You don't become happy by pursuing happiness. You become happy by living a life that means something. I suspect that the happiest people you know are the ones who work at being kind, helpful and reliable - and happiness sneaks into their lives while they are busy doing those things. It is a by-product, never a primary goal. The happiest people I know are people who don't even think about being happy. They just think about being good neighbors, good people. And then happiness sort of sneaks in the back window while they are busy doing good. The circumstances of your life have uniquely qualified you to make a contribution. And if you don't make that contribution, nobody else can make it. We do ourselves and others a disservice when we make old age something to be feared. Life is not a resource to be used up, so that the older we get, the less life we have left. Life is the accumulation of wisdom, love and experience of people encountered and obstacles overcome. The longer we live, the more life we possess. Prayer is simply coming into the presence of God. Because when you come into the presence of God, even the things you don't have matter a lot less.. . .We are here to finish God's labors. . .so that we could be His partners in completing the work of creation." Harold S. Kushner "Communication leads to community, that is, to understanding, intimacy and mutual valuing." Rollo May “Human communication, 'as the saying goes, is a clash of symbols' it covers a multitude of signs. But it is more than media and messages, information and persuasion; it also meets a deeper need and serves a higher purpose. Whether clear or garbled, tumultuous or silent, deliberate or fatally inadvertent, communication is the ground of meeting and the foundation of community. It is, in short, the essential human connection. Love is the supreme form of communication. In the hierarchy of needs, love stands as the supreme developing agent of the humanity of the person. As such, the teaching of love should be the central core of all early childhood curriculum with all other subjects growing naturally out of such teaching. All education should be directed toward the refinement of the individual's sensibilities in relation not only to one's fellow humans everywhere, but to all living things whatsoever. In our society the elderly are regarded as biodegradable and superfluous, instead of what they really represent: a biological elite who, with weathered wisom, have much to offer the world. The behavioral trait most frequently associated with the long-lived is placidity. The whole of life is a journey toward youthful old age, toward self-contemplation, love, gaiety, and, in a fundamental sense, the most gratifying time of our lives. . . . "Old age" should be a harvest time when the riches of life are reaped and enjoyed, while it continues to be a special period for self-development and expansion. ... the main principle by which human beings must guide the future course of their development is love." Ashley Montagu, The Human Connection

#ReleaseLeonardPeltier #MMIR "When I go around in America and I see the bulk of the white people, they do not feel oppressed; they feel powerless... and we understand the psychological genocide that they have already inflicted upon their own people. The past is more than a memory. Historically speaking, we went from being Indians to pagans to savages to hostiles to militants to activists to Native Americans. Its five hundred years later and they still cant see us. We are still invisible. We’re not Indians and we’re not Native Americans. We’re older than both concepts. We’re the people, we’re the human beings. We're all human beings and we all have feelings. And we all live in this industrial meat grinder where we don't really understand love anymore. We must go beyond the arrogance of human rights. We must go beyond the ignorance of civil rights. We must step into the reality of natural rights because all of the natural world has a right to existence and we are only a small part of it. There can be no trade-off. Our bones, flesh and blood are made up of the metals, liquids and minerals of the earth and everything on this planet is made up of the same things. As humans we have being, so everything on the earth does too in our culture, because we are made of the same thing. The great lie is that it is civilization. It's not civilized. It has been literally the most blood thirsty brutalizing system ever imposed upon this planet. That is not civilization. That's the great lie, is that it represents civilization. Because you look at it, you know, and there's basically one set of rules that protect that industrial ruling class. That's what the governments do, that's what the religions do. They protect the interests of that industrial ruling class. I think we live in an industrial dimensional reality where we're programmed to believe what we're told. We're programmed to believe them. We're programmed to believe what that ruling class wants us to believe. It’s like there is this predator energy on this planet, and this predator energy feeds on the essence of the spirit. When we're believing, we're not really thinking, because the belief has walls: "This is what I believe." So what I believe is like a box, and we're taking the energy of our thinking and putting into a box of beliefs, pretending that we're thinking. But we're really stifling our own energy. We create these mental stresses and frustrations, because we're blocking our spirit, so to speak. The thing is, it has to do with heart - we have to understand what hearts are for before we can get back to heaven or paradise or the power in our minds. We have power... Our power isn’t in a political system, or a religious system, or in an economic system, or in a military system; these are authoritarian systems... they have power... but it’s not reality. The power of our intelligence, individually or collectively IS the power; this is the power that any industrial ruling class truly fears: clear coherent human beings. Every human being is a raindrop. And when enough of the raindrops become clear and coherent they then become the power of the storm. Sometimes when it rains, it's not that simple, when the sky has reasons to cry." John Trudell
