Give us an update about your thyroid levels now... are you taking medication? Or are you still in remission controlling with food and healthy habits?

  • @HealthyGroceryGirl

My thyroid levels are within normal range and I am not on medication. I continue to monitor with lab work 1-2 x a year and continue to follow dietary, herbal and lifestyle habits that support my gut health, thyroid health and stress levels which has proven to personally help me with my thyroid health.

I’d like to know if you have to be 100% religious about avoiding wheat and dairy, or if one piece of sour dough toasted with butter once a week, would wreck the whole diet plan? Or one little piece of dark chocolate each day would wreck everything?

I’ve also never even heard of the Draw Write Now books! Ordering them asap ❤ And will reference this video again as I prep my 3.5 year old for some tot school / pre school at home. Thank you again!

I don't share my kids on social media and I don't like to film them too much while we are doing school as I find it's distracting and I really want us to focus on their education :) So I'm not sure how I'd visually capture this! But I'd be happy to create a video where I talk through our schedule and daily rhythms! :) Let me know if that is of interest :)

Hello...I was diagnosed for hyperthyroidism (graves diseases) from 2010. I wish I was brave as half of you. I also did my research. You can google food that you can eat when you have hyperthyroidism. You can also find so much info on youtube now but before most of the info you would find was about hypothyroidism. In my opinion diet works for some people my thing is that I also have hbp so I opted for radioactive treatment. This disease does make you feel alone and because family members dont understand what you are going through it can be daunting. Please don't give up on finding solutions that can help you. The answers are out there ❤.

OMG... I only made it half way through this one... I clicked on it because my teenage nephew was just diagnosed with hyperthyroid (and Ok, she's cute :). When I heard she was a dietitian and ate largely plant based, I knew we were going south because plants use nasty chemicals to protect themselves (like oxalates and lectins). Then she couldn't remember all the important things she did, like her notebook with a list of all the things she took?!?!? She should have just gone on the Carnivore Diet which is the ultimate elimination diet! AND, it would have also gotten rid of all her other persistent issues like like leaky gut and fragile emotions! I lost some brain cells, in just 15 mins, on this one :(
