There is another consideration now I have gone and built a DIY SSD. For whatever reason the enclosure I got doesn’t always auto mount in windows. You have to manually assign a drive letter via windows disk management the first you use it. Out of 4 computers I test I needed to do this for 3 of them. The 4th computer mounted and I tested transferring videos from a NAS. After a couple of minutes a time out error occurs and also it disconnects the diy ssd. When I tried to reconnect the laptop freezes. On the other hand a Samsung T7 worked flawlessly as a removable drive. So now I will only use this diy ssd for fast backup and transfers for my own computer and maybe other PCs I test.

It's actually more dangerous to use enclosures due to USB not providing enough amperage. You can lose data.

Thank you for the review. Have you compared this lens with Fuji XF30mm Macro? Similar focal length but 1:1 macro, weather sealed makes it a bit more attractive to me. Coming from manual focus film SLR days it is not a deal breaker for me. both are similarly priced where I live.

Hi can you please help, I have a DIY enclosure with a fast NVMe M.2 ssd in it, but when i plugged it in and tested the speed the read and write test said 42 and 40. Why is it so slow? Is it because I have a Mac OS software installed on it?

In India the pricing is a different story: External Samsung t7(500gb) - ₹5500 ~ $67 Sandisk (1tb) - ₹6500 ~ $80 Internal with enclosure: Western digital green SSD (500gb) + orico enclosure - ₹1800+₹500=₹2300 ~ $30 So it's cheaper to buy internal with enclosure.

The USB 3 naming sceem is stupid as heck.. Why in the world didn't they just leave the standard 5gb/s USB as 3.0, 10gb/s as 3.1, and 20gb/s as 3.2.. Instead of constantly renaming all versions from 3, to 3.1 and then 3.2 gen 1/2 x 1/2... So dumb... also USB 3.2 20gb/s should have been included in the USB 4 standard to avoid addtional compatibility issues since USB 4 20gb/s is apparently a completly different protocol...
