  1:54 went out in a blaze of glory for sure. A hot way to die, but I'll take a bullet any day. But it was big trouble for all of 'em for sure. Goonz seem to have a knack for that. They're always hanging around, waiting for guns to come calling.

  OMG, do you believe everything has to be real? Have you never heard of fiction for entertainment's sake? Is James Bond a real representation of the world of espionage? Can you not just chill and see it as the fun movie it was meant to be? If you don't like it you don't have to watch it. The world would be a very boring place if every war movie had to be deadly serious and a true reflection of the conflict. There's room for both.

  I read somewhere those were the only helmets available. Other than the sugary sweet love scenes in the movie with his family and the nurse who tended him this is a pretty good account of his exploits in WW2. The book is very graphic for the time and would make one helluva remake! This one benefits from Murphy playing himself of course.

  The staircase scene at 1:12 was picturesque - shiny helmets, tight uniforms, young men artfully placed to take bullets, but they went out with a bang instead of a whimper. The surprise depicted at 2:36 is the best - from a howdy stranger smile, to surprise, to shock, to I surrender, to a beating off screen only to be followed by a the ultimate male grunt accompanied by a belly full of lead at 3:19. The SS man's dance of dying follows by a swan dive accompanied by his scream as he tumbles down the stairs to hell is worthy of a best supporting nomination.Goonz in trouble indeed!.

  Great to hear from you mate! Yes, there's a lot to like at 1:12 and they were taken out with an overarm swing in some style. I kind of feel sorry for 2:36 but that's war. Poor lad lol. And the SS man sure made the most of his exit and did it with aplomb! All-in-all it's not been the best of times for these Goonz!

  They make the German army look stupid and it was not, it is and will be the best army of the WWII. And all the opponents are very well trained to be just civilians without any military training and they should play baseball. They have an arm that any baseball player would envy, which is why these movies and series are not credible.

  Interesting setting for this battle. But if I lived in one of those buildings, I'm not sure I'd renew my lease. The best "kills" were the hands-on variety. The bullet-on variety were few and far between it seems. But, in the end, it was still GOING-GOING-GOONZ.

  Yes, some of the goonz were toyed with before being eliminated. The one at 2:40... a handsome goon... was taken by surprise, then taken out by the sounds, but not sure how. Guess these guys didn't have much choice. At the start of this battle it didn't look like any of them could hit the broad side of a goon with a gun. Lol.
