Along the way I hope to show many more rocks, gems, minerals and things related.

Gday from Australia, I've just purchased amonster 1000 after some research. I live near Tamworth NSW australia, I haven't seen any videos on the use of this metal detector like your video. You seem to run it straight on the ground not off it. do you wear out pads, where I live there is alot of crystal, lots of grass tussocks, I heard that electrical insulation tape around the outside edge helps to conrol remval of magenetic material adhering to the side and causing false readings...any thoughts?
Howdy! It’s a great machine! Mine had found me ounces and ounces of gold. You are correct, run the machine on the ground or you’re not running it right, simply as that. Every bit you’re off the ground, is depth you’re losing. If it can hear a small bit an inch in the ground and you’re an inch off the ground… you’re just gonna walk right over all the gold. There ain’t nothing in the air, I’ve already looked. They made the coil cover replaceable and coil they only cost a few dollars. I go through one a month when I’m really using it. As for the tape, absolutely! If ya don’t, it’ll get all kinds of magnetics and stuff in there, and yes, it can mess up the signal pretty good. Best luck out there! Coil to the soil! Thanks for tuning in!
I have watched this 3 or 4 times times. I get so excited each time Aaron. Congratulations and thanks for taking us along! I will be there on the 14th, can’t wait!
Awesome! Glad to hear it’s inspiring folks and I wish you the best luck out there!
First time on and I enjoyed the hunt with you - I think I would just lose the cheesy background music...
Thanks for tuning in and glad to hear you enjoyed! Others have mentioned the background music as well, I usually toss it in so it just not dead space and/or wind noise.
It looks so good🔥🥇
Thanks man!
That looks sweet man!!!
Thank ya, and thanks for tuning in!
I’m happy for you. A lot of emotions did went through your soul. Knowing that sometimes your own family might think that its just a waste of time. That day you prove them wrong. The time on the desert it’s a joy for you and the gold is the cherry on top of the cake. Congrats🙏
Thank you! They all said I was crazy, and they might be right, but I weren’t wrong! Thanks for tuning in!
Got to wait till August to go there. Hope it’s not too hot!
Ooofta! It might be! We are hitting 80-90 temps already. Maybe some cooler weather will come through just in time for ya!
They are nuts Been there and know there are millions of agates, jasper, fossils, arrowheads, even a chance for a gold nugget🤣
There is so much cool stuff to find out here!
THANKS LOVE THESE VIDEOS
My pleasure! I’m always happy to hear when folks enjoy my videos. Thanks for tuning in and best luck to ya out there!
Thank you for posting. I’m new to gold prospecting. Will the monster coil pick up gold through rock or is it only for soil?
My pleasure! It depends on the rock. Smaller rocks that aren’t hot, it will usually hear something under them. As for gold in host stone, it should hear anything good. If you think the rock is making a noise, kick it out of the way and double check. I’ve had lots of faint targets come to life that were hiding under what I thought was a hot rock. Best luck!
Congratulations. Just learned of your channel and I am so happy for ya. I could almost imagine the feeling you had that day. That’s what it’s all about.
Thank you! That one right there was the dream come true for me! I’ll keep looking for a bigger one though, don’t you worry! Thanks for tuning in!
Nice
Such a fun one to find! Thanks for watching!
Stinkin' awesome. That Cab King looks like a sweet machine.
Thank ya! I’m loving the Cab King! I just recently got it from some friends. Thanks for tuning in!
Hey, I'm in your area for a couple weeks. Let me know if you want a hunting companion.
Sounds good! I haven’t been getting out as much as I want to lately but ya never know. Best luck out there if you’re houdin! 🕵🏻♂️
Thanks for that! Maybe I'll see you out there. I'll be checking a few spots. Good luck to you!
Nice work! You definitely made the right choice going with the brass buckle. That material looks good in it. Thanks for sharing!
Thank ya! It’s kinda fun material to work. Thanks for tuning in!
Crazy to think how many Fairburns we have all walked over where the fortification is face down and you don’t see it. This one couldn’t have been better face up. I agree though that you would have flipped it because of the red husk, but think how many rocks of other color you have to flip over to find the hidden ones.
Just never know where they are gonna be hiding! Thanks for tuning in.
Very nice! And yes, you have to keep it balanced. When I'm in the shop, I dream about being outside looking for rocks. When I'm out looking for rocks, I wish I was in the shop working the rocks! You working some gold into that would be interesting to see.
Thank you! Gotta find the balance 🙃
Nice work especially for first attempt.
Thank ya, and thanks for tuning in!
Pretty cool.
Kinda neat stuff! I’ll have to play around with some more of it. Thanks for tuning in!
Nice work 🔥 I was thinking of making a belt buckle with some Montana agates.
I think you should! Now I need to find the right SD agate for the other buckle! 🕵🏻♂️ Thanks for tuning in!
What do you think about this material from Arizona? Should I cut and work some more of it?
Teepees are cool. I like to surface hunt there mostly, more fun IMHO. I have a buddy who lives in Custer who is a Teepee fanatic and hard rock mines out the big nodules with sledge hammers, huge pry bars, chisels, etc. He always gets a bunch, but it is back breaking work to excavate all the layers of limestone, until you find the layers of crystal, then jasper, then usually agate in that order. I can do it, but too much work for me, I’d rather just walk around and find the smaller stuff (although not as valuable).
lol I’m familiar with and fully understand the hard rock mining side of them as well, but also prefer surface collecting. Just because I don’t have a video doing it doesn’t mean I don’t know how it works. We probably know some of the same people. Thanks for tuning in!
do you go to the rock and gem show in Rapid City, SD on the last weekend in Jully at the central states fairgrounds???
I usually go walk around it and check things out but I don’t set up there. I may be at the Crawford NE show august 30-sept 2.
@@waywardwoodward I use to hunt lots of fairburns but a stroke in my eyes ten years ago took me out of the game but I still like to go to this show.. Jim
@@user-kv7gt4rc8m Dang! Nice to hear you are still able to enjoy it in other ways. Hopefully everyone brings you some nice stuff to enjoy! Thanks for tuning in!
Great vid. I live in S.D. and rock hunt quite a bit. I gotta say, it is inspiring to watch you find that many in one day!! I have hunted Kerns beds, BGNG, Cheyenne River, all over. Fairburns ‘aint easy to find. I can go to Teepee area and always come home with stuff, but finding field Fairburns is always a thrill. I keep trying new spots all the time, like fishing spots, always trying to find the honey hole.
This was a really good day, right after some major rains. I have my bad days too though, there just isn’t any reason to upload them days. Best luck out there to ya, and thanks for tuning in!
Maybe some quarter in thick mini slabs to revile the other side of the forming layers
I think I’m gonna leave it as is for now, mainly because I already polished both halves. Thanks for tuning in!
Good set up you have there fellow Arizonian.👍👍 My son is in Rapid City.🤔🤔 Nothing like a well used detector.🤔🤔😂😂 Nice looking gold in the pan. A lot of nuggets with good size. 😎😎⛏⛏🔥🔥
Thanks! You should see the pile now! I landed a 2.52 Troy ouncer last November! 🤯 Thanks for tuning in! 💪 Best luck!
Fantastic! Love the cutting videos. Thanks for sharing
I’ll keep em comin! Thanks for tuning in!
Nice cut!!! Thanks for sharing with us. Keep up the great work!
Thank you! And thanks for tuning in!
Damn a fairburn next to 3 other agates that's dope
That was a fun find! Thanks for tuning in!
Keep em coming !!
Will do! Thanks for tuning in!
Very cool! like these cut videos. happy hunting!
Thank ya! I’ll be sure to keep posting a few now and then!
Looking good brother. I'm happy to see you
Thanks man, and thanks for tuning in!
Awesome cut!
Thanks! If only it was a GIANT pattern inside.
Love watching rocks getting cut cause that helps me decide where to cut mine ♥️ I missed not going to Rock show this year!
I’ll keep em coming along the way! Sorry to hear you missed the show this year.
Quit cutting Cheyenne river hunting time. You ever hunt the belle fourche river
Gahh! I really should be out there! I haven’t hunted the belle, but from what I’ve heard it’s way harder to find a burn in that matrix. Lots of fossils though in the Pierre shale through there. I know some folks with land out that way.
Thank you for sharing! Can you link to the blades you use?

I'm kind of partial to those black and white Fairburns. I'd love to find something that big! Or even a signer if truth be told.
Theres gotta be more out there somewhere! 🕵🏻♂️ Best luck to you!
@@waywardwoodward I need to get to SD as there aren't very many Fairburns here in MN 😉
I do!!
I got a few more lined up by the saw! Thanks for tuning in!
Who wants more rock cutting videos?
10 is the magic number lots gold found ,not auto 1 ,small coil is tops, 🤑🤑🤑🤑
I didn’t get into settings on this video because I was just trying to show the coil difference. Most new users will start in auto and work their way into the manual settings. But yes, 10 clicks for the win!
Your famous Wayward! Very nice to meet you ! Keep up the great work and good luck out there !!
🙃 likewise! Thanks for tuning in!
Very cool finds. I love Teepee Canyon agates - chippers and bigger ones. I live near Seattle, and will be staying just west of Custer in 2 weeks. I would love to go on a hunt. Any chance you can give me a couple locations, forest road #'s, to go on a hunt? Appreciate your videos. Thanks.
Thanks for tuning in! Pretty much, anything west of Mud Springs Rd over to Teepee canyon area is good for searching, and for a few miles north of HWY 16, but don’t disregard south of the road either. The whole area has lots of pockets to search out, lots of it I have yet walk. I believe “South Dakota rockhound dot com” has some decent directions to a few known starting points as well if you give that a google search. Best luck out there! 🕵🏻♂️
You should do more agate cutting videos. That was cool!
Will do! I have another one I’ll be posting in the next few days! Thanks for tuning in!
What a beautiful rock!
Such a beautiful set to find like that! I should go back there and see what’s kickin around. 🕵🏻♂️ Thanks for tuning in!
Here it is after a polish! Feel free to follow me over on Facebook as well! facebook.com/share/r/ud1bxQkbgiCBLrnR/?
i wouldnt have cut it.
🙃
@@waywardwoodward ... forgot to say its still a nice stone !👌🏻
Thank you for being there and showing us your finds!!! I’m the guy that baught the teepee canyon agate from the auction
My pleasure! Ok, I remember who ya are now, it was great to meet you!
Where do you go looking for hills agates?
Allll over the place! There are far too many locations to list. 🕵🏻♂️ From Teepee to Pringle and many places between!
I wish I had known about the show, I live in hot springs and I had no idea about it
Darn! It’s usually posted on all the Fairburn groups on Facebook, and I did toss up a video about it when I got there. Maybe next year you can make it! It’s usually the same weekend each year.
Also there is the yearly rock show in Crawford, Nebraska over Labor day weekend.
@@eyeguyeyeguy1 yep. I’ll be there again this year.
Beautiful agate 🔥 just needs a polish, and it's ready for display 🍻
Right after I made this video, I gave it a nice polish 🙃 I should have included it in this one at the end. 🤦🏻♂️
