Everty Brewing

Everty Brewing

I've been home brewing since January 2011 and have been trying different extract and partial grain kits. After does a bunch of extract batches I started getting the itch to try my hand at all grain. From there my interest for this hobby took off. Starting with a Home Depot cooler and slowly built an electric brewing system based on Theelectricbrewery.com. I have been brewing on an electric system in my basement since 2013. I love the easy of the brew days and escaping the Wisconsin cold.

My journey continues with new styles, brewing methods, DIY projects, and developing my craft into becoming a great brewer.

    Hi guys. I just stunbled accross this Video. As I had luck last month and got a Wiskey Barrel, which had 12 years Single Malt in it. I want to age my imperial stout. Do you have some Tipps for me? I cannot fill the barrel right away. So what should I do to store the barrel? Should I wet (moisten) it from the outside on a regular Basis? Second question: did you fill the barrel from time to time when it looses liquid? Third: did you de-carb the beer before transfering it or even transfered it cold? Did you cold crash before to get mist yeast out or just transfered? Greetings from Germany!

    Thanks for taking the time to make and post this video. While it is disappointing that it didn't turn out well, there is great value in learning from mistakes! You mentioned several times that you might try it next year... Did you ever make a second attempt?

    Hello...hope all is well. I am trying to make contact in hopes of getting an Everty growler. Do you have any left? I will gladly pay any costs involved. I live in Ohio. I see that you are a home brewer, but you took a hiatus to focus on your health. That's great and I hope that you are hitting your goals. If you happen to have any other swag or gear from Everty, please let me know. I left my contact information on your fb Everty page. Stay safe and well. Best Regards T.Stokes

    From my point of view a conical fermenter is a new way to part the average homebrewer from his money. Two brewing buckets costs £20 - a conical fermenter costs £80 minimum. And what does it do that two buckets can’t do? It removes SOME of the sediment whereas syphoning beer from one bucket to another leaves ALL the sediment behind. It saves you time??? Only if you don’t take the cleaning and sanitizing into the equation. I’m going to stick to buckets and tubing and spend my hard-earned money on INGREDIENTS not TOYS.

    Graham Bunton there’s a huge difference between a unitank stainless pressure capable type fermenter vs a bucket. Pressure fermentation. Carbonation. Yeast harvesting. O2 avoidance. The list is endless. Do buckets make for an inferior beer? No. But they also provide more places for error than a stainless unitank. There’s a reason pro breweries all use this design. Control. Repeatability. Reliability

    How does it heat? I got a upright freezer and the temp range is -20F to 20F. Would this warm the freezer to around 40F and maintain the temperature?

  • @EvertyBrewing
    @EvertyBrewing5 жыл бұрын

    There is a plug for cooling and one for heating so you can have the freezer for cooling and a heat wrap, blanket, or something for heating. For fermentation, I had the heat wrap around the vessel and the freezer would only kick on as needed. Worked great for lagering.

    So for fermenting beers at 65-70F, would the deep freezer still work? Or a fridge would be better?
