Great video! I found out that the squeaking seemed to be caused by the back internals of the chair, not the spring (it was hard to see where was aimed at during the video). No squeaking anymore though :)

I know this is for the Leap V2 but do you think it will fit the Leap V1 Highback "off-label"? I'm sure the fit wouldn't be perfect but the attachment seems pretty adjustable and the V2 and V1 Highback have similar dimensions...

Your creaking noise might come from the swivel joints inside the casing. It's actually very easy to open the plastic casing to access the joints inside. Start from the back, look for a hole on the right hand side, stick a screwdriver in there and lift up to start popping the cover off.

Question about the adjustable lumbar. Is it possible to take it out (and then if needed put it back in) WITHOUT taking the backrest off? I just got this chair and want to see how it feels without lumbar but don't know how easy it would be.

Is Crandall going to be providing a warranty for these headrests? I take solace in knowing that my Crandall reman Leap V2 is warrantied for 12 years and would like to know if the headrests will have something similar. Doesn't have to be 12 years but any warranty >1 year would be nice!

How do I make this chair not feel like a massive waste of money? The lumbar support doesn’t align with the curve of my spine no matter how I adjust it and the seat is too hard to comfortably sit for a long time… tried to return it and they are being as difficult as possible. They won’t send a return box to me because I’m in Canada and the assembled chair doesn’t fit into the box it came in- they explicitly told me not to attempt to disassemble the chair.

For instance, the protective film is not mentioned at all in the written instructions nor the referenced KZread video. much easier wat use the claw of a hammer you can wedge it down to the wheel spindle then work on ry off by getting it closer the peg that goes up into the chair bottom if it just widens the wheel space you can then work claw under the wheel where the top cover is over the wheel it will pop off easy then just tap spindle to get other wheel out

Very hyped for this- I was even gonna try to jerry rig my own but I had a feeling it would be coming officially one day. Just wondering, I know that you guys are striving to keep the ergonomics, but is the headrest being designed with the original back pad or the thicker back pad in mind? I’m planning to change out my thicker foam back pad for the original soon, and I’m not sure if I should keep the thicker back pad if it has better compatibility.

  • @CrandallOfficeFurniture

The headrest was very much designed with both pads and the chair in mind when it comes to the ergonomics of the chair. The headrest will function well with either pad.

Can the headrest go further back? (Used more to keep head from going backwards when leaning back and not touching the back of the head when sitting upright) How will does it handle being pushed on? (The hack headrest from engineered now i used before popped off if I leaned back on it as the hook on the top which may be great for the chair it's meant for didn't really work when the leap backrest bent a bit like it's meant to do)

I’ve had an Atlas headrest attached to my Leap v2 (ordered from you guys) for a month or so using a 3D printed adapter. Can confirm the Atlas works *great* with the Leap. Your attachment method looks like a much better, sleeker design though, and I love the option of using your fabrics. I’m glad someone is finally making a legit adapter for the Leap. Hopefully you also offer a version that matches platinum chairs (I’m using the “mineral” version and it matched decently well). I’d also urge you to develop a similar adapter for the Gesture, as that is another chair that I think could benefit from the Atlas headrest if you don’t get the factory one. The Fern adapter comes very close to working, it would just need a revised bottom clamp.

I got my Leap v2 from Crandall which I'm satisfied with but I never knew that I would miss a headrest on a chair so much😢. I looked on Amazon for headrest compatible with Leap v2 and all of them require me to drill holes on the chair and I don't want that. There is a company advertising their own "no drill holes" headrest for the Leap V2 and I've been following them for several months since day 1 but I never trusted them. I asked a simple question about the material used because the prototype headrest looked to fragile and they didn't respond. Ahnesty reviewed one of their headrest and they took it badly and acted unprofessionally😠. Before watching this video, I watched their latest Leap v2 headrest video to "convince" myself that it may do the job but 2 first buyers comments confirmed my first doubts that their headrest is badly designed and uses week flimsy plastic. I decided to research a 2nd time on KZread to see what else is out there and I'm glad that I did and found a trusted one🥳. People, let's give many thumbs up👍 to make this video more popular so that people don't waste their money into a bad headrest when Atlas is going to release a Top Tier headrest. Before I go, I have a request to Crandall/Atlas: Please make sure that the headrest can be adjusted horizontally so that people like me who sit with our back almost 90 degrees straight can pull the headrest deep enough to support us(something that the flawed Leap v2 headrest cannot do). I'm average height and I don't worry about the headrest vertical range, but many Leap V2 users are extremely out of range(either too short or too tall), so it would be good if the headrest fits the height range from 4'11" to 6'11". Thank you for your great looking headrest🙌 and I can't wait to buy it even if it cost three times the price of that flawed Leap v2 headrest!

Did you just delete my comment? Bruh, I called you out because you forgot to change the profile pic that clearly shows Crandall logo and questioned how many comments hyping the headrest are fake like this one then my comment is gone?? I started posting pictures of expensive stuff that I own and commented about and because some dudes like you were acting like "that guy ain't got shit...". Anytime I said that I own something, I'll put a picture of either the product or the receipt of the product so that you broke dudes just shut up! I freaking knew it... there's a person who's supposedly a "fan" replying to comments at different times crapping on other companies and praising Atlas... I found it really weird because they replied to almost every comment, so they were asked if they're just sitting all day waiting for new comments. This makes more sense... Jesus these are some trashy practices...

  • @alfaralph7710

@@TomelziSlimshady You have the freedom to say whatever like anybody else; but I say things with proof as a picture on my profile to help people so that they don't waste their valuable time waiting 1 minute on a KZread annoying ads and may be 5 more minutes on a useless intro. It's still up to all of y'all to judge the content of my comment. And for those who don't understand what's going on, I'll explain: Ever since I started searching for new and used office furniture(on KZread, Reddit etc...) I've noticed three famous remanufactured office furniture businesses that compete which each other: BTOD, Crandall, and OfficeLogix. They all sell good and bad products but the problem comes from their marketing. From reading comments, some people seemed to have been paid to talk good about one company and bad about the rivals. I've read many comments of such people and was so disappointed in all of them that I almost spent $2000+ on a brand new Leap v2 because I found it nasty that all these businesses have at least one guy praising them and trashing the others without any logical argument(I never say bad things without explaining why). I finally chose Crandall over BTOD(the company seems as good as Crandall) because I had the chance to sit on an old Leap V2 and I hated the thin sit foam and only Crandall offers new sit foam. Even if I don't like one of these companies compared to the other 2, I never talked like one of those paid to talk shits about them without proof. In my comment above, I didn't mentioned their name to not look like I'm trashing them specifically. I never read anything bad about Atlas except people complaining about how expensive their products are(price is a subjective matter which I don't waste time discussing about). If any of you think I'm biased, please go watch KZreadr Ahnesty reviews and decide from there. Where I'm from, we have a saying that when you try to do good to other, you get bad in return. All I know i that my comments may help some people. Here are some of my most trusted KZreadrs that I'll recommend because you'll find honest reviews there: Ahnesty (office furniture); Scotty Kilmer, The Car Care Nut(both for cars advices), Hes Kicks(for men shoes)...
