This is a gem. As a beginner I needed this. What a legend
Ridiculous machine even more ridiculous that price tag of $6000 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
About 10 years ago I sold my Rancillio Silvia and a lever machine (can’t remember the brand, the logo had a bridge). At the time I needed money and counter space. I saved my Mazzer SJ though! This little machine might be the perfect thing to allow me to get back into pulling shots. I’ve missed it. I was researching the lever machines with no boiler(ie Flair), but this little fella may fit my needs even better. I’ve never left coffee….have always roasted my beans and make a pour over daily. The home barista space has changed so much in 10+ years! I added a PID to my Silvia and used non fancy tools like cut yogurt cups and dissecting needles instead of WDT. lol Glad I found your channel recently. Very good stuff! Makes me excited about coffee again.
Crazy that it has taken this long for the mid to high home espresso machines to adopt this technology given that: 1. Waiting for the boiler to come up to temp is among the most annoying things about using a machine at home that isn't kept on all the time 2. We have had tankless / boiler-less tech capable of heating enough water to run the hot water supply for an entire house for many years already
great stuff man
Pestle & Mortar?
I think you should read Eu directive 2022/23:FPM79 before you make claims about the right to repair!
You're wrong about Normcore tamper, it has 2 springs one of which is so soft that it doesn't skew the result much if at all and that's the one that is responsible for depth.
I always enjoy the stream of consciousness commentary. It’s why I subscribed. I do the pressure bleed off with my Starbucks Barista and naked basket.
Good job Lance, always intelligent and insightful... thank you.❤
No hate Lance! Love your vids keep it up
Definetly not the best guide tho. Way too generic. Enjoyed it tho
Ok 👍
Why there is such ugly mess inside. For sure there is a way to put those pipes in a neat way
For those guys of MARO, I would suggest them to make the API 100% open for local use only. this would be extremely useful for those in the smarthome space, who like to keep data on everything. and are not so onto having YET ANOTHER APP especially with home-assistant, where you can setup your espresso machine trough your smarthome instead of another app
Thank you again Lance. Although I am very susceptible to premature upgraditis, I actually need a machine. Still rocking my Breville Duo Temp Pro. No control of anything. Anyhow, I'm really interested in the tech / efficiency side of not going full boilers as Lance mentions. I'd appreciate anyone that has any advice or suggestions to that extent.
Final question Is it as good as the p64 ?
Hello, I really like your channel, very technical, I’m looking for some guidance. I had the Breville oracle touch for a couple of years and it kept breaking, I’m looking to get a different machine , I’ve been watching reviews and I’m between the Bianca v3 and the Sanremo cube , but can’t decide, I’m looking for a reliable machine, that makes good coffee, about 3 cups a day. I like the features on the Bianca, but don’t necessarily need them, looking for best build quality and reliability, is one better than the other ?
Does transferring from one container to the other have a final impact on taste?
Thanks! Lance! Was planning on getting the moonraker but now will be purchasing the WW Blind shaker! Super appreciate all the effort you put into these videos! Super helpful in my journey!! Cheers, Randy
This is a masterclass in positive feedback. Lol
Except many say it is a negative review lol
Great explanation sounds so easy!!! Thanks
After reading more comments from buyers, I can’t believe anyone would consider this machine even if it were less money. So many better options out there especially in higher end machines that can last for decades as long as you maintain for longevity. But hey if you’re happy then that’s great!
This type of video was great, both informative, structured and "controlled chaos" at the same time :)
Seems like all these new machines & grinders are getting pumped out of china with more features and better bang for buck than from well established brands. It's great for us who would've otherwise never gotten into the hobby because of cost. I wonder if other brands are now feeling the pressure to cut costs and turn down the quality in order to compete.
yeah i'm glad that the needed temperatur offset is unknown otherwise my upgraditis would go through the roof rn.
thanks man! i needed this!
I'm a crazy coffee kook who craves crazy coffee!
europiccola beats them all...
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you! Great review and I just ordered mine here in Thailand on Lazada for $232 USD including shipping. Ive been in the market for a new machine since the steam wand on my 2.5 year old GemiLai Model CRM3605 snapped off. A cheap plastic connection inside the top section of the wand started splitting and leaking then finally snapped off. Also, in the brew cycle, for some reason the pressure now won’t build past 3 bars. Meanwhile, this HiBrew H10A has all the features I’ve been looking for in a moderately priced machine. After much research I was unable to find anything even close to the features of this machine. So lucky I stumbled onto this review. Can’t wait to receive the HiBrew. I’ll be using this excellent expert review as my guide in setting it up and using it!!!! Lance, thank you again for this excellent review! I’m now a subscribed fan.
Hi @Lance, have you try slowpresso? Its blooming 3 min and have unique flavour... in Indonesia we have tried using lever machine and the result is actually very unique... maybe you can try 3 minutes pre influsion.. thx
I'm not a fan of this machine, great review though!
Quick question, while texturing do you slowly lower the cup to counter the rising of the milk?
thank you!
Is the Gicar flow meter on the La Spaziale Si Vivaldi Mini in the same spot??!!! (BTW, it is a smaller GH machine you gotta try and review!!!)
Thanks for the review. Save money and get the same result. Nanofoamer Li is a better bet. Warm up milk in microwave, use foamer and that’s it. Easy cleanup and enjoy beverage
I have been experimenting with slow feeding on my k-ultras and have seen impressive results. My pour over brew times have cut back by 1 minutes which means I will need to grind much finner. I can also visually see a huge difference with less fines in the grinds
This has been so helpful. Thanks Lance!!
Question: I have a lever arm La Pavloni Europiccola. When should I start the timer?
Anyone else notice that Lance's talking speed got faster each time he had another cup of espresso?
This was the worst coffee machine I’ve ever owned. Water pressure issues, weak steam wand…after a few months I sold it for cheap and got a Micra
the pour over method im using next is the coffee cloth filter, used commonly in latin america
In Australia we have had the sunbeam em6900 with essentially identical features. It got defeated by the BREVILLE bes900 and you can now buy them for between free-100 dollarydoos
I received mine today. I was shocked so much plastic for €6000. I don’t even care about the specs anymore.I didn’t even know that such cheap plastic existed.
any experience with the cafe specialty drip from GE?
I got the kingrinder K6 for €88 on Amazon (about $95) the build quality is amazing. Managed to get the first propper espresso shots on my flair neo. I'm sure it'll last me for many years to come
One drink you forgot about is "Grober/kleiner Brauner" [its a drink from Vienna]
My washlet uses the same technology!
Hey Lance, thanks for your content. This has been the review i've looked most forward too of all time, as im really struggling to decide between this and the Bianca V3 - and i'm not certain I feel more enlightened. In this video you advice against E61's, but your review of the Bianca is quite positive. What would be your verdict on the two?
You forgot about how to descale it.. 🙈
Great video! Looking to get into espresso. Would this be a good starter machine?
